Since the village your staying in is small, the trip to the old mans hut didn't take long. You all walk up to the door and not long after Dororo tries to knock. You quickly grab his hand before he can proceed any further. "Hey! What are you doing?" Dororo yells surprised.

"Are you absolutely insane? You don't know this old geezer like I do. I'm just trying to save ya." You reply back. You gently drop his hand and face back to the door. "You guys let me do the talking." Taking an inhale of breath, you try your best to calm your nerves. You despise speaking with him, but you feel as if you have no choice. He's the only lead you got into trying to find a demon.

Bracing yourself, you firmly knock. Immediately the door swoops open as a wooden cane comes flying out. You were able to dodge just in time to make the cane miss you completely. One point for your reflexes. "HE-" Before you could finish your sentence,  another object comes flying at you. It was too fast for you to see so you couldn't move in time. As a result, the object hits you square in the forehead. Minus one point on reflexes.

You feel a surge of pain and blood shooting from the wound as you fall to the ground. It didn't make it any easier that gravel was the ground that broke your fall. That stupid old man hit you! In the face! But with what though? You know what, who cares!? That wrinkly ballsack got another thing coming.

"(Y/n)! Are you ok?" Dororo asks. Ignoring the question, you get up feeling a little dizzy. Your ears must be fuming with how pissed you are. "What the hell's wrong with you?! You wan't me to hurt you?!" You yell enraged. The old guy before you doesn't even flinch at the threat. Instead, he holds his ground while his eyes shoot nothing but daggers in your direction.

"I told you not to come back here and you didn't listen. You're not about to break my belongings again you here. Now scram!" Growls the man. Feeling embarrassed, you trudge on not planning on backing down. "First of all, that was an accident and you know that. You need to stop holding grudges. That's why your face is so saggy now." Another thing was thrown, but you doged. You smirk and continue.

"Second of all, I said I was sorry. What more do you want with me?" The old mans scowl only grew. Uh oh. "I know what I want with you." Speaks the geezer. His words fill your heart with a little hope. You're finally about to get threw to him. "I WAN'T YOU TO LEAVE AND NEVER COME BACK!" And with that the huts door is slam shut, leaving nothing but silence and shattered dreams behind. You can't believe this. You only broke one thing of his and now he hates you to your entire core.

You can feel the fustration boiling inside so you push it down as best you can. You musn't get to angry; That would be dangerous. "Well, that was a wast of time." You huff turning your direction to the kid. "Yeah, it sure was.  What should we do now?" Dororo responds back. He sounds just as upset as you are. That's a good thing. At least you're not alone on this emotion. You take the time to ponder on the question. A few minutes later,  an idea pops in your head.

"This could be a long shot, but we could find  something to kill in the mountains over there." You suggest.

"Ok, but why?" Asks Dororo in turn

"Well, this town tells alot of stories. Especially about vicious beasts that come out in the night just for the satisfaction of killing. One tale that  particularly stood out to me was the one eyed cyclops that had the power to hypnotize its victims. Quite entertaining really."

"So you want me and big bro to climb up a mountain based on a story."

"I don't see you coming up with any better ideas." You finally finish. As a response, the boys face changes into all kinds of emotions in a matter of seconds. More than you can say for his cool headed brother that's for sure. Crossing his arms the kid sighs in defeat. He knows you're right and besides, what else can they do? "Fine." Huffs Dororo. "We better start walking."
