As you were lost in your memory of losing your dad, you didn't realize he had picked you up bridal style and carried you out of the room.
"Hey Kevin, tell the others I'll do the night meeting, I need to get (Y/N) settled into her room and to rest. She's had a long day." Lewis tells Kevin as he carried you down the hallway.
"You're skipping the meeting?.." You ask, surprised a bit.
"Yeah, it's not that important. Right now, getting you better and collected is more important. The others can meet you later tonight when you feel better." He gave a slight crooked smile.
"Shesh Lewis, you sound lik-"
"A weirdo?..." He frowned, opening your bedroom door somehow as this caught you off guard.
"I was going to say you sound like you care a lot about me. Even if we've just met." You tell him. His frown disappears as he chuckles shyly and a soft blush appears on his pale skin.
Awe, he looks so cute.
"Oh! Sorry - haha - thank you. I care about all the people that Kevin finds and brings back. I have to... The brokenness is their eyes... It hurts. I can't stand seeing them so lost and wondering if everything that happened is real.." he mumbles now, his cheeks turning a deeper tint of pink as he stood you up.
He rubbed the back of his neck and wrapped his other arm around his stomach. "Sorry..." He seemed to become slightly teary eyed.
"Why are you saying sorry?" You ask, confused.
"I talk too much, that's why. Um, how do you like your room?" He changed the subject quickly.
You looked around to find it quiet empty looking other than the King sized bed and decent dresser. "It's just a room. Better than what I've dealt with through the months I've survived alone." You giggle slightly.
"Alone?! May I hear about it, if you don't mind me asking?" He asked. The way he looked at you made you seem bashful for him to want to know more about you.
You sat on the bed as Lewis stood there, not wanting to invade your personal space. You smile softly and giggle at how polite he is being.
"Come. Sit. I'll tell you." He seemed so excited as he sat down beside you and looked you deeply in the eyes, he looked like a little kid who was getting his first toy in years.
