"What do you mean?" Her voice came out at strangled and rough, much different than her usual confident and cheerful tone.
She looked back at the blue masked man. "And who's he?" She was confused as to why there was another person present in the room with them, she didn't feel comfortable with him being here, it made her uneasy.
"(y/n) calm down, he's just a friend. H-he was helping your wounds." Toby tries to calm her down before she could annoy Jack. He honestly didn't know what was happening but was trying his best to hold himself together.
His only purpose literally died, he was there when her pulse was gone. He had gone on a rampage that night too, which included wrecking Jacks medical room.
After that he had gone somewhere just to return all bloody and matted up, his killing must have been vicious that night, well that's what Jack had assumed.
For the day that Toby was gone to God knows where, Jack continued to research the girl. He had discovered something that was odd and wanted to watch over the girl some more.
He didn't tell Toby because he knew that he would end up being hysterical about the whole ordeal.
After he had labeled her as dead, due to lack of pulse he noticed something else, her eyes continued to move in a dreamlike state behind her eyelids.
After Toby went on his rampage Jack tested her vitals, Her temperature read at seventy-eight degrees and her pupils even dilated when a light was brought to them.
Jack had found a new medical experiment, that is until Toby came back claiming that he wanted to bury her out of "condolences" or something outrageous like that. Jack didn't understand anything outside the human body, he understood the brain but not the emotional connections that came with it.
He didn't understand why Toby was so attached to the odd girl, nor cared but he did interrupt him trying to understand the odd happenings that came with the girl.
Toby was trying to take the girl, that is until she started to react and gasp for air. She was obviously choking on something so the blue masked male stuck his fingers down her throat, and along with that came the soil.
That puzzled him the most, why would she have soil in her system. He heard the girl talk frantically to the goggled boy but he didn't care, his thoughts were elsewhere.
His gloved hands brush over the dirt that the girl had previously vomited and seen something move within it. Pulling out a pair of tweezers he examines the moving piece.
It was a pinworm.
He knew that the parasite usually affected kids, but she was a near woman. He then pulls the worm closer to his eyes, examining it more he noticed that the worm was black, which wasn't normal for a pinworm, they were usually a peach tan color, and this specific worm was long in length, around ten inches.
This concerned the masked man greatly, the girl was the definition of dead but yet she's alive without a heartbeat. How?
This was too odd to be a coincidence. "Toby, something's not right." Jack draws Toby back to the real situation at hand.
Toby looked at Jack as his heart skips a beat remembering that she had literally just puked dirt out a mere five minutes ago. "What's wrong with her?" Toby releases a few ticks at his statement.
Jack then gets up from his crouching position and walks over to a metal slab, picking up a small glass jar, placing the black pinworm inside.
He seals the lid before he turns around to face Toby once more.
