Garlands

Velvet-soft petals,
Held together by intertwined vines.
Garlands grace the heads held ever so high,
With nought to fear.

But with hands so coarse,
how can one ever do the honour,
I can never scratch the surface.

Dreams provide solace
For those driven into dirt
Caught in their weave
Of lies
And
Deception.

Dreams are snares
encasing our hopes,
Preventing them from
Becoming reality.

Wishes are for failures
Who know not how
to achieve.
The wind blows
ridding us of long-overdue guilt
Unshackled screams
Mimic the wind.
