I wake up confused. I'm laying in somebody's arms and then everything that happened yesterday day comes flooding back. The bully's the cuts the beautiful stranger. Ugh stop thinking that way Nico he's probably straight. I take some deep breaths trying to calm myself. I breathe in the faint sent of the ocean. I lay there just breathe if for al long time.
"Morning sunshine," I almost fall off the couch out of surprise the only reason I dont is his strong arms around my waist.
"Oh uh hi" I say hoping he ant see I'm blushing.
"Are you hungry"he asks.
"Um well I don't normally really eat breakfast." I mumble.
"Oh"he says " well when was the last time you ate"he questions.
" yesterday at lunch" I say so quietly I can barely hear my self.
"What, ok you have to eat something you are not going to go almost 24 hours without food, come on," he says all this as he drags me to the kitchen.
" Well what am I supposed to eat we ran out of cereal a week ago and I don't know how to cook."I say as he smiles at me, God's that smile it's so beautiful and so full of life. I'm pulled from my staining with the best word in the English language.
"... pancakes,"
"Hmm.. what?"
" I said I could make pancakes,"
"Oh ok that sounds great," I watch as he goes through the pantry grabbing stuff of shelves.
" where are your measuring cups?"
" um I'm not sure try that drawer by the stove"
" no not here"
" try the one below it"
"Bingo," he says excitedly.
I continue to observe him as he makes pancakes his strong arms that had been holding me last night. His beautiful tan skin and his eyes oh gods his eyes there such a beautiful blue. As beautiful as the sky and the ocean combined. They sparkle like opals in the sun. I continue staring until a plate with pancakes is sitting in front of me.
" Thanks," I say as I eat. He sits down next to me and I fight the urge to scoot closer to him. I only manage to eat half of a pancake before my stomach hurts. I don't normally eat more than once in 24 hours. I push my plate away and luckily will seems to understand. We sit in a comfortable silence until his phone starts to buzz.
"Sorry I'll be right back," he says as he hops up from his seat. I watch him disappear around the corner to the next room. I can't hear him due to the wall between us. There's some quiet whispers I to his phone and when he comes back he looks a little stressed.
"Are you ok?" I ask.
" Ya it was just my mom wondering when I was coming home." He says, I can tell he lied but I don't push the subject.
" Give me your phone,"
"What"
"Give it to me" I scowl at him but hand him my phone. When he hands it back I see he put in his phone number as a contact.
"T-thanks" I stutter, why am I getting so flustered.
"No problem," his phone buzzes again and he looks at it. " I have to go buy text me if you need anything ok." I nod and walk him to the door of by house, he smiles at me before pulling the door closed behind him. And I maybe kinda sorta watched through the window to see if he lived on my street. He did. He lived in the big pastel yellow house right across from mine.
