The Flash: The Sparks of Love (REBOOT)

Chapter Two

Barry is baffled by the creatures, when one of them sees him it tries to attack but Barry moved too fast. The creature can smell his blood and persists in catching him, one of the other bat monsters snatches him up and pins him to the floor, three bat monsters hold him down. "Barry!" Cisco yelled, worried about Barry.

The monsters bit into his arms, their teeth piercing his suit as they begin to feed. Barry started to feel light headed as the third looked him in the eyes then bit into his neck after turning his head to the side. Barry couldn't speak, his mouth agape as he tried to say something, His vision becoming blurry.

The monsters are shot in the skulls with arrows as they collapse still on Barry, Green Arrow had come to Barry's rescue after hearing about the monsters himself. He pried the beasts off of Barry then took him back to StarLabs while him and his team dealt with the beasts.

Barry's body began healing itself and producing more blood, Barry slowly came to after blacking out. "...what happened?" Catlin went over to Barry. "You Almost died..." Barry's memory is fuzzy. "I...almost died...?" Catlin nods.

"you...don't remember being attacked?" Catlin seemed concerned. "...No...it's all fuzzy." Green Arrow storms in. "Do you know how dangerous that was?" He sounded upset. "...I guess...?" Green Arrow raised his voice. "You cannot handle something like that on your own!"

"Ok well you don't need to yell at me, you're not my father." Green Arrow shook his head. "I might as well be." Cisco walked in. "Guys stop, yes Barry could have died and yes it was reckless but you're here now, maybe you can help us." Green Arrow looks at Cisco. "...I don't have time, I have my own city to look after." Green Arrow leaves with his team.

After a week Barry is back on his feet and back at work at CCPD trying to understand what those bat creatures are and why they look the way they do. Ayva comes in. "Knock, Knock." Ayva walked over to Barry with a smile. "Hey Ayva." He smiled at Ayva. "Hey." She said with a cheerful smile.

Ayva sits on the edge of Barry's desk. "So I heard about those beasts last week, I need to write a story on it for the paper." Barry nodded. "Um...well I don't know how I could help." Ayva looked at her hands then back at Barry. "Well all I have is that The Flash was attacked and the Green Arrow showed up and saved him I guess, it's just so silly because I hear all of these great and amazing things about The Flash and then he gets overpowered by three beasts with the ability to go super human speeds."

"Well even The Flash couldn't have ran from that situation in time." Barry got up and stretched his legs. "I guess so." Ayva got up. "Well I guess I'll see you around, Barry." Ayva walked out of Barry's lab.

Barry watched her go and went to StarLabs to see what Cisco and Catlin had on the bat creatures. "You got anything yet?" Cisco shook his head. "No." Catlin on the other hand has some good news. "I do, it looks like these creatures were mutated to be their size."

"Ok how did they mutate?" Barry asked wanting to know if it was a metahuman. "Well I think it was a metahuman who can speed up the process of adaptation and evolution to their advantage and in this case they chose bats." Barry nodded. "Ok well how do we stop these bat creatures?" Catlin looked through her data files. "Don't know yet."

Barry sighed. "Call me when you guys have something." Barry sped off and went back to his lab at the CCPD, Barry cleaned up around his lab. Barry couldn't stop thinking about the bat creatures that attacked him last week, he tried to think of how to take down the mystery metahuman behind it.
