Chapter Four

Barry is dressed casually as he waits at Jitters for Ayva, Ayva shows up in semi casual attire. She has her hair down for the first time that Barry has saw her wear it that way. Ayva sits down at the table with Barry and they get their drinks, Ayva got a sweet tea and Barry got a coffee.

"So um...tell me about yourself." He smiles at her. "Well...what do you want to know?" She says with a smile. "Ok um...how long have you lived here?" Ayva giggled. "Well I moved here when my mother died, I got here 9 months ago." Barry nodded and they both chatted with each other about themselves and had some laughs.

"Barry I don't think I have met a guy as unique as you especially with how kind and thoughtful you are." Ayva smiles at Barry. Barry smiled back at her and when the date came to an end Barry walked her home since she didn't live too far from his own house.

After Barry made sure Ayva got home safely he headed home as well, as he's speeding through the neighbor hood he got jumped by one of those mutant bat creatures and he gets held down with his face kissing the ground; The creature scratches his back and drools over the wound and then leaves him alone.

Barry sped off to the Lab and frantically told Catlin and Cisco that he had been attacked by a bat creature, they checked his back and saw his jacket and shirt are ripped but the wound is gone and healed.

Catlin goes over a blood sample and she is disturbed. "Barry...that creature's DNA is...attacking your human cells." She looks at him with a worried look and so does Cisco. Catlin and Cisco decided to have Barry under very close watch in a holding cell until the virus got burnt out of his system from the speed force.

Barry felt his gums hurting and his body temperature declining quickly, and after a while Barry wanted nothing but the sweet taste of blood. He banged on the doors and walls of his cell and cursed like a sailor, Catlin could see that this is killing him the longer he went without blood.
