Her eyes couldn't look anywhere but his face; no other area in the classroom held her interest. She found him utterly perfect, and brilliant, and just plain wonderful. His black hair swept across his forehead, catching the morning sunlight and sending a shadow over his eyes.

She wanted to run her hands through his hair and tell him everything, but her deepest fears held her back. His intelligent, chocolate brown eyes with hazel rings, that made her heart eclipse darted over the pages of the book he loved so much. Percy Jackson, she thought it was, she didn't want to look away from his face long enough to check.  He bit his lip as he read his book; you could see his brain firing as he processed new information.

He started to smile and she was blinded, his dazzling white teeth stunning her. His braces didn't affect his looks at all, in fact, it almost made him even more attractive. Her breath hitched and her face flushed as he glanced up from his book and met her eyes. Those eyes that were like hot chocolate on a cold winter night.

She quickly returned her gaze to where it was supposed to be, blonde hair falling in her face as she did; the pages of the book were bland compared to him.

She really did want to tell him how she felt, but again, her deepest fears held her down. No after no, rejection, and betrayal; she didn't know if her already shattered, broken, and bruised heart could stand it if this one was like the others.

Maybe he was like the others... she always texted him first, always responded faster. She felt tear spring into her eyes and scolded herself. No sense crying over someone who wouldn't even notice if I died, she told herself, Why care if they don't? Pushing back the unreasonable tears, she tried to focus.

But her eyes still fluttered up to him, still found herself staring. 'What's wrong with me?' Something about him entranced her, she couldn't figure it out. The way he seemed to always listen? Or was it those enchanting eyes? Maybe his billion-dollar smile. No, it was just him. All of him, all of who he was. She loved him, even if the feeling wasn't mutual. She just couldn't help it.
