"Welcome! Welcome everyone! All citizens of Eldora! Welcome!"
Every street nearing the center of the town was jam-packed with bodies surrounding the large, concrete-E monument that had a wooden stage before it, the platform was large but small enough to not take up too much space. The skies shined brightly on the beautiful crowd as everyone huddled together and chatter filled every gap in the air, the crowd consisted of men, women, and children of all ages happily talking to the ones around him.
A soft melody played in various areas of the crowd as the bodies slithered among one another and people happily expressed themselves between one another. This was a type of day everyone compared to Labor Day, multiple parties and barbecues for everyone all at the same area, the food smelled fantastic and the children running around with balloons and large grins only made the day better.
Ethan slowly maneuvered his way throughout the crowd as he inched closer to the large platform, he stayed a few people further back to not block others from seeing as he knew he was one of the fifty of a two hundred dense population of people that was rather tall.
The town was only built for about a hundred and fifty people but was slowly expanding everyday as available land is being turned into townhouses and such for the growing population, and no one was complaining. The houses were purposely rustic but elegant, all were kept touched up on request of the Mayor himself, as he wanted Eldora to stand out the most for being so organized while rustic.
Ethan looked toward the platform, Mayor Luke Bland, Mr. Jones, and the Bland family stood there as Mayor Luke Bland whispered with Mr. Jones about something that obviously had him bothered. He glanced around to see the happy faces and wanted to cheer up but there was a deep sorrow feeling above his chest, he was unhappy and he couldn't fight the slow depression seeping into his heart. Mayor Bland nodded his head suddenly at something Mr. Jones exchanged with him before stepping away and moving toward the microphone that was at the center of the platform.
"Thank you for attending!" Mayor Bland spoke up to begin the large celebration, pausing as everyone cheered happily while he chuckled at their reaction.
Women always flocked at his handsome appearance, he was about five-five with a shorter haircut then most men usually wore around the town, his crystal brown eyes always glittered at the appearance of women blushing from one of his glances. He had a stunning smile with pearly white teeth and lips so kissable that women dared to smooch him right in front of his wife.
He was slightly portly but it was obvious that it was just stress weight that Mr. Bland himself hoped would disappear. He dressed himself in a button up shirt with a pair of pants that looked fantastic on the man, he was indeed a good looking man, as well as Ethan.
"Eldora has been a success for seven generations! We have been growing significantly and believe that in three more years, our population will equal to three hundred! If you're new here, this is our yearly meet up. We enjoy a fun parade and see different floats, then we recite our town rules before enjoying a couple of things brought by you valuable citizens.
Thank you for us all having a very good year with no troubles that weren't handled easily, I would also like to announce the start of our twenty-four-seven Carnival Fair with very delicious food and lots of fun rides for all ages.
A new upcoming event that we hope is going to be happening sooner than later is the Eldora Waterpark, we hope that by later this month it will be up and running for everyone to enjoy and splash around at. Please everyone, enjoy yourselves... it's a new year!" Mayor Bland announced, a large grin on his face as he eyed to cheering crowd.
