The Problems With Being Gay At 13

Ch.23 -The New Year-

January 1, 2013

If you had told me 5 months ago that I would be coming out of the closet in time for the New Year I would laugh my ass off in your face; seeing as how the events in my life have changed ever since I met both Demetrius and Ariel. I guess in some sort of way they changed my life for the better. If my Mom hadn’t been herself and invited the Henderson’s over then I would probably still be deep in the closet. I’m very thankful for all of them being there for me. Ariel, Demetrius, Mr. Danny, Mr. Alex, and Marisol. And to think I actually thought they were weird. Well, they kind of are but that’s not the point. Once the ball dropped and the fireworks went off Ariel, Demetrius, and I started lying on the ground looking up at the stars. It was so peaceful and then we started talking about this past year; so I asked Demetrius and Ariel what happened before we met and how their lives were.

“What happens in Wales stays in Wales.” Demetrius said sighing. 

“Pfft…bullshit! Tyler, back in Wales it was sort of fun. Boys, being popular, cute boys, and other stuff; Deme was quite the player too. He had boyfriends all the time, they were all so cute. He even had this one boyfriend named Alejandro. He was such a—“

Demetrius covered her mouth before she could finish.  “We don’t speak about him here. That was a long time ago. What we did in Wales happened in Wales. But what we do in America happens in America.”

After that we didn’t do much but have little chit chat and still look at the stars. But I really do wonder who this Alejandro dude is. And what really happened to Demetrius’ past boyfriend. I’ll probably hear about it later though. But for now, Diary, everything is perfectly fine. My life is perfect for now.
