A change of pace

After awhile of Gannon and Link horse back riding through the mountains, they were going through a flat ground path of brown dirt and blackish grey rocks, the sky was getting grey and dark and the breeze was picking up into a slight mighty wind, blowing through the hair of our interesting couple and their horse as well. Suddenly it started pouring down, they were getting soaked and the horse was starting to whinny loudly and it bucked the two off of them, this was because of a distant bolt of lightning followed by a loud "BOOM"!
Gannon fell in the mud on his back and grumbled from doing so, Link on the other hand was not as calm, he got up and stretched an arm out: WAIT! ...:he lowered his ears and shivered some nervously, he remembered being hit by lightening multiple times during his journey, need to say he did not like it, one bit. Gannon got up and wiped the mud off of him and went over and put a hand on Links shoulder: "We need to find shelter! :link didnt even look at him but nodded and stood close by him. Gannon spotted a cave nearby and pointed," There! We should be safe in there! :he grabbed links hand and quickly pulled him abit into the cave and when they were out of the rain, they sat on some of the black shiny stones inside, right next to eachother and watched the storm outside, the lightening, the thunder, Gannon was not that phased by this but Link... was trembling, he didn't want to admit it so he stayed silent. The winds had become very powerful and was wipping droplets of water on their faces, Gannon looked over at Link, sensing something was amiss with his love, he looked into his bright blue sky like eyes, instead of seeing the courage and delight he was use to, he was complete and udder fear, and he saw him flinch every once in awhile, links ears were down like a scared puppy, Gannon felt pitiful for him and put out his arms and gently pulled link to himself into a gentle hug and patted his back, "There there...it will pass, it will be ok, you're safe with me...:link: he hid his face in ganons chest hugging onto him. Shaking with fear, he was not hiding his emotions very well but he had no need to, this lasted for hours apon hours and at some point A massive bolt of lightning struck the cave! The boom made it shake and some of the rocks fell from around the sides! Gannon quickly covered himself over link to block any damage from debri...then the storm got quiet..Gannon uncovered his head and loosened his grip on Link and looked around him, Link peeked abit as well and then they both let go of eachother and stared wide eyed at the cave they were in, there were Crystal's and stones of many colors, giving the cave an amazingly elegant glow, the beautiful Crystal's made them forget the storm, they stared in aw and for awhile jaw agape, but then they looked at eachother and snuggled up close to eachother peacefully taking in the sights, at some points they went and explored the gave doing all sorts of goofy activities, shadow puppets, which gannon was very good at, and Link would play things like hide and seek and jump out every once in again this childish exchange got them to lauphe and enjoy wherever they were, and is why they enjoyed each others company so much, they made peace and put smiles on each others faces when they were togeather, there last exchange of the night was when they found a heart container and splitted it, they then layed on the Cold but soft dirt of the ground and cuddled up falling asleep, and gannon put an arm around link protectively, and they slept like that for the remainder of the night.
