A bit of angst ahead.

(Hours Before; Prince's Birthday)

Taehyung's Perspective~

Gisaeng House

"Taehyung-ah!" One of the older Gisaengs-Seong-called out to the boy.

The aforementioned rushed to the girl sitting in the practice space. The girls were practicing their instruments together, some helping each other.

"Yes, Noona?"

"MaeHyang-nim asked you to go into town right? Could you please pick up something for me? I want to wear it to the parade today." Seong tried to persuade. She looked at the boy innocently that he gave up any chances of protest.

"Okay..." He muttered.

Seong informed him that he was to visit the jewelry shop right across from the seamstress he was going to anyways.

"Tell her Seong sent you. She'll know what to give you." She vouched.

Taehyung nodded again and looked up at the rest of the girls.

"Anyone else want me to pick something up for them?" He questioned. He was only answered with silence, so he took that as a no.

He grinned at them and turned around. He made way for the heavy doors that led out of the House.

He marched to the market excitedly; it was once in a while that he went out. Usually his mother sent the servants but they were all busy.

He saw the decorations people were putting up. Many lanterns were being hung to be turned on at night. The streets of Hanyang were extremely pretty when that happened. He was looking forward to it. Since today was the Prince's last birthday to be celebrated, the Gisaengs were to also go out. To say he was happy wasn't enough. He was ecstatic.

"I'm here for MaeHyang's order Madam Choi!" Taehyung announced as he entered the shop. Madam Choi is the only seamstress his mother entrusted with making of the girls' clothing.

"She's not here today. I'm in charge." A voice revealed as the owner came out. It was another woman who seemed to be around the same age as the Vice Head Gisaeng.

"Oh..."

"Anyways how can I help you?" The voice owner asked.

"I came to actually pick up the clothes for the girls. It's under MaeHyang." Taehyung said, looking around to see if there was any sign of a huge pile of clothes. If there's one, it's theirs.

"MaeHyang? I don't know a MaeHyang though." She doubted.

"The Head Gisaeng, MaeHyang." Taehyung hinted.

"Gisaeng? As in Prostitute Gisaeng? Those lowlife disgusting beings? Those Gisaengs? How do you know them?" The woman insulted with a twisted face to show her disgust in them.

This aggravated Taehyung. How dare she look down on his sisters? Did she know what they went through everyday? They were more educated and skilled than she'd ever be! The boy took in a deep breath before speaking. He knew he'd go ballistics on this woman. He had been warned by the whole House to avoid getting affected by people's harsh words. It still pissed him off.

"Yes, those people, and I work there you could say, now can I get what I came for?" He answered with tightly grit teeth. He was extremely upset. Majority of the people of Hanyang didn't know about Taehyung's real identity. It wasn't that people didn't know he existed but ratherly when they saw him around town, they thought he was a young master due to him having a guard with him. It's also wasn't that it was kept a secret or anything but rather most people didn't care about Gisaengs having children. They only cared when it was gossip worth; like whether a well-known Noble or a married one had impregnated a Gisaeng and she had had his baby.
