Chapter 23

Gauri bumps into Parvathi Daadi who was walking from the opposite direction. Gauri was quick to steady her as she passes apologetic look.

"Are you blind?" She yells at Gauri,

"I am sorry" Gauri was quick to apologize but She looks at Gauri in disgust and walks away muttering loud enough for Gauri to hear "Good-For-Nothing"

As much she felt upset Gauri didn't want to let it dampen her mood - She was already flying high her heart fluttering like a Titli - Gauri blushes while grinning cheekily remembering the moments she had with him few minutes back . Still she could feel tingles where his thumb grazed her chin pulling it up to look up towards him .

She looks down pressing her lips in a thin line to stop herself from blushing as she bites her inner cheek but the sparkle which had her eyes shone up wouldn't leave her . Gauri twirls around giving one last glance to their room entrance she hops down the stairs walking towards the Kitchen to serve Daadi gang the snacks . After arranging the sacks and serving it to Daadis Gauri comes up to call Jhanvi.

"How is my son doing?" Jhanvi asks as Omkara curls up on her lap

"I am happy Mom" He replies with a blush spreading through his cheeks remembering His Titli

Jhanvi smiles while ruffling his hairs "I see My Daughter Keeps You happy" She teases while looking down at him

Omkara sits up and places his head on her shoulder "She makes me happy-She is My Sukoon Mom (She is My Peace)-She makes me feel as if-" He tries to find the correct word to complete

"A Teenager in Love" Jhanvi ends with a chuckle making Omkara sigh against her shoulder

"No-she makes me feel like - I don't know - about Love -" He lets out a sad chuckle "I need her to live Mom -She makes me feel like - I am worthy of her - Even I can be a Good Husband - Even I could make someone happy - " He trails off unable to put in words how Gauri makes him feel things

Jhanvi chuckles slightly "When did My Son Go Speechless?'

"Mom" Omkara whines asking her to stop teasing

"Mom remember You told me 'Listen to your heart -- Close your eyes and relax If you see what you need -then it is in your hands to not let it go as it is precious -and if you don't -""

Jhanvi nods with a smile asking him to go ahead "When I close my eyes I see Gauri-Mom- I never told her in words but She is precious to me Mom- I do not want to let her go"

Jhanvi brushes off the hairs that were falling off his forehead as she cups his face in her palms "Omkara -I know Six or Seven years back something happened in your life which you are reluctant to share with me or Your Dad-" She pauses

"Mom-that"

"No-Beta -You do not need to - There had been days I would long to know what's bothering my son - You had lost your smile completely but Since My Bachcha Came -I see my son smiling just like you used to once - I can see the happiness back in your eyes Om-and It's because of Her -Gauri-"

Omkara hugs her as She continues sadly "I feel like chiding myself for being a bad mother-in-law during her first few days of Marriage -I shouldn't have listened to Mummyji-I should have been happy that she was giving my son back but me" She lets out an audible sigh
