You would think sneaking out the house at night would be hard, but not for a kid whose parents are too busy plotting schemes to care. So Veronica makes her way through the front door, making sure not to be seen by smithers (the guard) on her way out.

The cool night sends shivers down her spine as she makes her way down the lonely streets to a part of town she's not familiar with. She looks around as the cracks in the road get bigger and the houses smaller until all that's standing in front of her is a bunch of trailers. Old men in worn out leather jackets stand by the entrance, all eyes glued to her. Veronicas not dumb. She changed into casual clothes before coming so as not to draw attention. A biker skirt with fishnet stockings, clothes from a past life.

For some reason Veronica hoped to find what her father had told her about. Creepy old men and drug-addict kids. Maybe because then what he did wouldn't hurt so bad. Maybe because then what he did was for the best. But as she walks further through the site what she finds is a community, a family. She begins to walk deeper and deeper until she finds herself standing outside a small dark building, illuminated only by a large neon sign. "White Wyrm" It reads. The man outside gives her a weird look but she walks in nonetheless, in search of me.

As she makes her way through the door she can already tell she sticks out like a sore thumb. Veronica walks around quickly in hopes of finding me and leaving. Eventually she finds the next-best thing: a teenage girl with bright pink hair and a friendly enough smile, standing behind the bar.

"One vodka soda," Veronica says as she hops onto the bar stool, trying to play it cool. The strange girl looks over at Veronica and lets out a small laugh at the sight of her.
"What are you doing around these parts?" she asks.
"Excuse me," Veronica says.
"Okay you little Northsider I get your trying to be rebellious or whatever but you can get hurt round here," She says condescendingly. Veronica's smile fades as the girl in front of her talks. But she doesn't back down. She's got Steph to thank for that.
"Look, I don't want trouble, I just want to find Jughead."
"Why," the girl asks rudely
"Ok who are you, his girlfriend? I just need to know ok?" Veronica says. She expects the other girl to start yelling or something but instead she smiles and nods her head.
"Ok," the girl says, "he doesn't stay here anymore, his dad runs this whole gang and he doesn't wanna be a part of it so he left. Last I heard he's staying at the bijou."
"Oh.." is all Veronica can manage to say, "are you his friend?"
"When I was young yeah but ever since I joined the serpents.." she says, letting herself trail off.
"Well thanks...."
"Toni" The girl says, "and you are"
"Veronica"
"Just tell him I said hi alright"
"Sure, thanks for everything," Veronica says. She gets off the stool and walks away. But she only makes it a few seconds before-
"Just so you know, we don't sell vodka sodas here," Toni yells out, earning Veronica a few weird looks.
