Extra long chappy for ya guys! :D
When I arrived at the barn, I was waved over by Sarah and Jessie. I went and sat down at their table, next to them.
"Hey girly!" Sarah slung an arm around my shoulders, and Jessie smiled.
Jessie is quiet, but she amazingly funny and sweet. She can always make you laugh, no matter what. She just needs to open up to you.
Sarah, on the other hand, is bubbly and doesn't give a shit what other people think. She's loud and funny and pretty. But, if you stick around long enough, she'll show you how sensitive and sweet she really is.
I feel really honored to be accepted by them.
"So. Question" Sarah said with a huge smile on her face, interrupting my train of thought.
"Spill."
"Is there anyone our little innocent Scarlett fancies?"
I blushed, laughing, as my thoughts immediately snapped to Travis.
"So is that a yes?" Jessie grinned, leaning over toward me.
"Maybeeeee." I enjoyed stretching is out.
"TELL US CHILD!" Sarah immediately demanded.
"Well, there's this kid. He kinda works here-" I was interrupted.
"TRAVIS! I KNEW IT!" Sarah yelled triumphantly.
"Shhhh!" I clapped my hand over her mouth, glancing around the empty tables. She pried it off.
"Relax, there's no one here."
"OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS ARE LITERALLY PERFECT AGH!" Sarah gushed.
Well. Girl talk. Shit. I SUCK at girl talk. Probably just from lack of experience.
"Thanks!" I smiled brightly.
"He likes you. It's obvious."
"Really?" A surge of hopefulness filled my heart.
"Yup, 100%." Sarah assured me. "Oh, and just the other day, when we were walking back up, I looked back, and I saw him elbow his father then nod at you."
"Wait, REALLY?" I almost screeched.
Sarah smiled, proud of herself as she should be. "Don't doubt my stalking skills."
I laughed.
"Never."
Maybe I'm not so bad at girl talk.

Later, we were walking to lunch, laughing at how Jessie was grumbling about being bitten by Peyton, the retired racehorse Thoroughbred that she likes.
Sarah elbowed me, pointing over to The road, where Travis was climbing over the fence into the pasture. He was about half way over, when he saw us looking at him.
I immediately blushed, but when he saw me, he grinned and tried to wave at us.
He was on a fence.
He fell.
Into horse poop.
We burst out laughing, hanging onto each other as we walked back to the tables.
"See?" Sarah choked out between fits of laughter, "He loves you. He fell into horse crap for you."
I rolled my eyes, even though my heart was fluttering like a caged bird.
I took out my sandwich and my phone.
"So what song do you guys wanna hear?" I asked, scrolling through my extensive playlist of Taylor Swift songs. I have every. Single. Song.
"Hey Stephen" Jessie winked, "for Traaaaviiisss."
I smacked her shoulder, but I put it on anyway, singing along with a goofy smile on my face.
"Hey Stephen,
I know looks can be deceiving
But I know I saw a light in you.
And as we walked
We were talking -
I didn't say half the things I wanted to.
Of all the girls tossing rocks at your window
I'll be the one waiting there even when it's cold.
Hey Stephen,
Boy, you might have me believing
I don't always have to be alone.
'Cause I can't help it if you look like an angel,
Can't help it if I wanna kiss you in the rain.
So come feel this magic I've been feeling since I met you.
Can't help it if there's no one else.
Mmm, I can't help myself.
Hey Stephen,
I've been holding back this feeling.
So I've got some things to say to you, ha.
I seen it all -
So I thought -
But I never seen nobody shine the way you do.
The way you walk, way you talk, way you say my name -
It's beautiful, wonderful, don't you ever change.
Hey Stephen,
Why are people always leaving?
I think you and I should stay the same.
They're dimming the street lights.
You're perfect for me, why aren't you here tonight?
I'm waiting alone now, so come on and come out and pull me near to shine, shine, shine.
Hey Stephen,
I could give you fifty reasons
Why I should be the one you-"
I was interrupted by Sarah saying- "Hey Stephen," smiling at a point behind me, and none other than Travis walked by, a smug smirk on his lips.
