Jinae POV

We were walking down the road. "How long have they been dating?" I asked looking down as I watch my steps
"Since 4 years, he even transferred to this school for her" Soyeon replied
"Does she love him?"
"I don't know, he once caught her cheating on him with a senior"
"Okay but how come they're still together?"
"She begged him to forgive her and because he loves her he did forgive her and she promised him that she's never gonna look to any other guy but him"

"I guess it's true" I mumbled
"What is?" She asked confused as she stopped walking
"The saying that says once a cheater always a cheater"
"What do you mean?"
"I heard her making out with some random guy in the emergency stairs
and then she went out with a messy hair and hickeys all over her neck" I said as we continued walking

"So it wasn't a bee?" She asked in disbelief
"Nope" I said shaking my head as I looked at her "OMG tomorrow is gonna be a bad day" She suddenly whined *what?*
"Why are you being negative now?"
"I'm not ,you don't get it, he knows she cheated on him but won't show it on her he'll show his anger on us"

"Okay now that's stupid"
"Uggh we're gonna die" she started whining and fake crying
"Okay we're here can you stop whining like a starving baby"
"I am actually starving, can I come in?" She showed me her puppy eyes

"Of course" I laughed at her silliness and opened the door
"You stay alone?" She asked looking around the house "Yes" I replied putting my bag on the couch as she started roaming around the house.The house isn't really that big, just one room and it's bathroom, a living room and a small kitchen.

"OK now get out of there you said you want to eat, I don't keep the food in the bathroom" "Oh yeah sorry" she replied walking back to the kitchen

I was preparing Ramen for both of us while she was on her phone giggling to I don't know what
"What's so funny?"
"You"
"Me?" I asked surprised
"Yeah look, some of the students made a group chat for all of the class except you and Taehyung"
"And why is that?"
"To make imagines about you both"
"What kind of imagines?"
"Some will be like Taehyung killing you and some will be Jooeun bullying you or about both of you falling in love which is not gonna happen because you won't have time to fall in love because you'll already be dead" She explained still looking at her phone and giggling about some silly stickers

I snatched her phone from her hand "This is not funny, why me and him?"
She snatched back her phone from me "Cause you're sitting next to him"
"This explains the pitiful looks" I mumbled to myself
"Can I see?" I asked as I put my hand infront of her as a sign to hand over her phone
"The question is do you really wanna see?"
"Yeah just show me"
"Do you think this might come true?" I curiously asked
"Yes"

After I saw the group chat, we decided to watch the TV together cause we don't have many homeworks since it was just the first day "Jinae why do you live alone? Where are your parents?" Soyeon asked positioning herself toward me

"They're........gone" I said not looking at her "Oh I'm really sorry, I shouldn't have asked" she said as she repositioned herself toward the TV
"It's ok, it wasn't your fault anyways" I said coldly as I got up to the bathroom

Soyeon POV

"Good job Soyeon look what you've done because of your stupidity" I mumbled as I saw her walk to the washroom with tears in her eyes

I've known her only for a day but still I feel connected to her, I don't want to see her cry
I walked to the door, Knocked at it "Jinae please don't cry I'm sorry" I said as I heard her sob from the other side of the door "Jinae please open the door" I said knocking harder than before

She opened with red puffy eyes "OMG I'm really sorry" I hugged her "I didn't mean to, I swear I just wanted to know more about you" I said as I broke the hug "Are you alright?" I said with my hands on her shoulders. She nodded a yes slightly then I pulled her to the couch "I'm sorry, even though it's been 8 years since this incident but I can't stop myself from crying whenever I remember...." She didn't finish but changed the topic instead "It's already 4:47 pm wouldn't your parents be worried about you? I mean I didn't see you telling them that you're coming over to my place" Jinae asked
