(Y/n)'s POV

White...

That simple color made my heart race. I didnt know why it scared so much. But there was something about it. As i stared at that white blob, i noticed it moving towards the spaced out row of houses that is my neighborhood. I didnt know if it was coming to my house specifically but it would be too close for comfort.

As i watched the blob of white moving along the lakes shore, i noticed a spec of what looked like a dark blue moving just behind it. The faint shine of the moon just barely illuminating the color. I didnt see the blue earlier. My blood ran cold as the two colors moved closer to my neighborhood. The moonlight slowly showing their figures. I leaned closer to my window to get a better look.

I soon realized the white blob i was seeing was a white hoodie, hints of red decorated the arms and torso. I could feel my blood run cold. What that blood? I gulped. They had stopped moving and were standing behind a tree, most likely hiding. As i looked at the figure i noticed the one with the white hoodie, their skin almost matched. That isnt normal. I slowly looked over to other figure. I couldnt see much as they were wearing dark jeans and shoes, with a black hoodie. Of course their hood is up.

I stared at the figure for minutes before they turned just slightly. Blue covered their face. It didnt look like skin though. It looked more like a mask. Anxiety crashed through my chest like a train as i realized these probably werent locals. I pried myself from my thoughts and watched carefully from behind my curtains. I noticed the white ones mouth moving before they both turned their heads, when i followed their gaze, i saw it land on my neighbors house. My heart felt like it stopped as i watched them stalk towards it.

I felt like my body had been frozen in that spot for hours before i bolted to my parents room. I threw myself onto their bed, shaking them both. "Mom! Dad! Call the cops! I think the neighbors are in trouble!" I yelled at them in a panic. I looked between them and the window, but couldnt see the two figures.

My parents woke up surprisingly quick. My dad shot up in a panic. "What's wrong sweetie? Are you okay?" He asked still half asleep but panicked. My mom soon sat up and put her hand on my shoulder.

I looked between them and the window. "I-i saw two figures sneaking to the neighbors house. We need to call the cops!" I yelled shakily. My parents seemed to calm down and almost laughed. "Oh hon. Are you sure your not just para-" My mom stopped mid-sentence after being cut off by the sound of class shattering and a scream in the distance.

All 3 of us went pale. My dad instantly jumped up and grabbed a shotgun from under the bed, running to the door. "Nancy call the cops! Lock the doors! Now!" He shouted while running out with the gun. My mom instantly jumper up and grabbed the phone. As she spoke on the phone with the police, she grabbed my hand, dragging me with her to check the doors and windows.

It wasnt even a minute before sirens and flashing lights passed through the trees. When they pulled up my mom and i were already standing in the yard, still barefoot and in pajamas. A few seconds after the police pulled up, I saw my dad rush out to them. My knees became weak and my heart seemed to pound against my cheat when i saw what he was covered in...

Blood.
