(Y/n)'s POV
I awoke to a bright light. I had to reshut my eyes from the intensity. My head pounded. Where am I? Slowly, I open my eyes as they slowly adjusted. I took a look around. A hospital room? I sat up a little too quickly and felt a pinch in my arm. I looked down and saw a needle in my arms, in a panic I rip it out. My heart starts to pound as I check my body for other wounds. What happened?
I try to think back to that night. My neighbor was murdered... by two men. Two men. Time seemed to freeze as I remembered them. Anxiety coursed through my body. See you soon. The words seemed to scream in my head. My own voice seemed to be screaming those words. Did he mean I was next? Who were they?
I clenched my head and curled my legs against my chest. My breathing grew shallow and labored, a million things ran through my head. But the most reoccurring was... blue. The color seemed stuck in my head like glue. The color, the mask... that man.
Just as my thoughts spiraled, I was shot out of my thoughts by a loud gasp. I look up to see my mom standing there. Her usual (s/c) was pale and there were huge bags under her eyes. She rushed to me, putting her hand on me. "Oh hon. How are you feeling? You have been out for days." She said in almost a breaking voice. A few days?
She could tell I was confused, so she explained that I had what the doctors would describe as a mental snap. They think the trauma of seeing the neighbor caused my body to shut down. She also explained that i had been out for 3 days. Was it really caused by trauma?
~Time Skip~
After what seemed like a million tests, they finally decided to let me go home, which i was so grateful for. The car ride back to the house was silent and almost tense. My mother didnt say anything the entire time, probably still processing.
I spent most car ride with my face in the window. Watching the scenery. Truthfully, i was watching the trees. I was trying to see if those... men, would be standing in the trees. Watching me. I nervously shook my leg, trying to keep myself calm.
It didnt take long for us to get home. As soon as my mom parked in the driveway, i jumped out of my seat and basically ran inside. I quickly made my way upstairs, into my room. I shut the door and locked it, making my way to my window.
I spent most the day plastered to my window, waiting to see those two guys from the other night.
~Time Skip~
It was around 2 am. I hadnt left my window all day except to eat dinner. I could feel my body getting tired but i wanted to see if those people were actually there, or if i was just crazy.
But eventually, i gave in and let myself fall asleep pressed to the window. I dont know how long i had been asleep for, but i felt a pair of arms pick me up, then something soft engulfed me.
I guessed maybe my dad had come to check on me and moved me. I didnt wake up for the rest of the night.
