B squadron is mainly a ground attack and fighter bomber squadron,

Now then, CFB Borden has a grass strip runway and several hangars, as of the moment of this story taking place in modern day 2019 102 has: 60 Spitfire F MK IX and is the primary aircraft used, 15 spitfire Mk 14's only 5 of which are assigned to pilots, who are deemed skilled enough to be flying them, 15 spitfire mk 18's of which only 2 pilots fly them, ryo and sharpie.
