Chapter 1:

*Annabeth's POV*

As I headed to sword practice I replayed last night in my head.

I remembered me giving him the cupcake, us talking, me kissing him, and finally Clarisse dumped us in the lake. Gods, we're going to cream her in capture the flag. The kiss... the memory flooded my mind.

I marveled at the air bubble surrounding us. I felt Percy's eyes on me and I looked up to meet them. And that was all it took. He leaned in and I followed his lead...

"Annabeth!" Someone shouted. I was jarred back to reality as I walked into the arena. Beside the arena doors stood Percy. I blushed slightly, thinking about our kiss again. He ran to me.

"Hey," I nodded at him. I forgot he had sword practice with Athena's cabin today. He held riptide in his hand, reading to begin sparring.

"Wanna spar?" He asked.

"Sure," I said, walking into the arena. He came at me with slight hestation, where as I came at him head on. I got him a couple of times with my blade, and what should have been deep cuts, didn't make a scratch. "Stupid Achilles curse," I muttered. He grinned. I found myself distracted in his smile, his eyes... oh, gods, what was wrong with me? Next thing you know, his sword point was at my throat.

"Not fair," I muttered.

"I'll let you go..." I smiled. "If," He grinned as I scowled, "you meet me after dinner tonight. I have some...," he blushed, "things to talk to you about." Of course, I knew exactly what he was referring to. I felt my cheeks grow hot.

" 'Kay." I said. He lowered his sword and I came at him, my knife under his throat. "Ha." I said. He met my gaze and just about everything disappeared except me and him. My blade lowered. We both leaned in and-

"Percy!" Someone yelled. I snapped back to the arena as Grover came trotting in. I hastily leaned away and went to pack up my armor and clean my blade. "Perce." Grover panted, tired from running. "I need to talk to you." Grover glanced in my direction and I knew it was about me. As Grover pulled them out of the arena, I stuffed on my magic yankees cap to follow.

They walked towards the forest silently. Finally they arrived at a clearing. It was empty. "Uh... I heard a weird rumor..." Grover looked down. "From the Aphrodite cabin..." He waited for Percy to get it. Of course, he didn't. I was blushing, not that they could see. "They said you kissed Annabeth." Grover blurted. I watched as Percy's eyes grew wide as flying saucers, and then he looked at his feet, face growing red.

"It's true." He muttered.

"So... you guys... like each other?"

"Apparently. I mean, I didn't know she liked me until then, but I knew I liked her." He met Grover's eyes again.

"So are you two... dating?" Another memory.

After the kiss, I finally got the courage to speak. "So... you like me?" I asked.

"Er yeah... you like me?"

"Mmm-hmm. But what about Rachel? I mean, I know she can't date anyone... but do you like her?" I was blushing.

"Mmm... I might have... but it was only because I wanted to be mortal, to not have to deal with Kronos." I couldn't blame him.

"So... um... are we...?" He couldn't frame the question but I knew what he was asking. He blushed.

"If you want to be... I'm okay with it." I looked at my hands.

"Are we talking about the same thing?" He asked. His finger touched under my chin and he tilted my head up to meet his eyes. His green eyes...

"Boyfriend... girlfriend... us..." Oh gods, I could form a sentence! Look what he was doing to me.

"Yeah..." He cleared his throat. "So... we're dating?"

"Yeah." I smiled. I put my hands around his neck and I felt his on my waist. We leaned in for another...

"Yeah." I said, showing myself.

"Gods, Annabeth!" Percy took a step back, feigning surprise. "I saw you put the cap on." He smiled. I smiled back.

"Annabeth, it's true?" Grover was grinning like an idiot. I nodded. "I always knew you two would end up together." He said.

"Sure." I raised my eyebrows. Percy looked uncomfortable.

"Grovie!" A voice called. Juniper appeared and dragged Grover away.

"So," Percy headed towards me. "I guess the camp is going to know soon." We talked about this last night, how we didn't want to be secret but we didn't want to be overrun by the Aphrodite cabin.

"Guess it won't be so bad." I shrugged. He was right in front of me now. He put his hands around my waist. I reached up and put my hands on his neck. "I mean, at least all the girls will know not to touch you."

"Or they'll have to deal with your knife," He laughed. He leaned in and kissed me. Afterwards I smiled. Then I ran off to archery, leaving him in the forest.
