*Zack's POV*

I heard Remi's alarm go off at 6:57 am, I knew we had to be up by 7am, but I got up early anyways. I got dressed and walked into her room to find her asleep, I turned off her alarm and saw her stuff all packed."Duckie, wake up we gotta go" I told her while gently shaking her. She opened her eyes and looked at me, I smiled and got up, leaving her to get ready while I put her stuff in the truck. A few minutes later she got in and we left.

*About 4 1/2 hours later*

*Remi's POV*
I looked on my phone and chose a new song, I looked out the window while the faint tune of the song played in my earbuds. I looked around and saw a sign "Welcome to Black River Ranch, yeah right, I'm gonna die here" I thought and jumped out as the truck came to a stop. I adjusted my hood and grabbed my stuff, before saying goodbye to my brother and walking inside. As soon as I stepped in the door all eyes were on me, I looked down and heard someone call my name "Remi?" I looked up and saw an older lady staring at me, I nodded "please come with me, I wanna talk to you first" she gently said and I nodded again before following her into a little office, it was quite comfy I must say."have a seat dear, I just need to ask a few more questions about why your here and about your roommate." She said as she walked to her side of the desk, I gave her a thumbs up being to nervous to talk."So first of all what happened?" She asked me and I tensed up before talking"well I was riding my heard Storm practicing out jumping then took my gelding Power out for a ride, umm..I went to go tie him as we had hooks and a rail there and he lashed out and hit the back of my head, not very hard, just clipped it. He has had past problems and came to me pretty much wild, but I thought I could fix him. Um, yeah, this isn't the first time stuff like this has happened, but I think this was one of the worse, so I guess I just am scared omg of every single horse now knowing they could also lash out like that" I told her before looking down. She reached across the desk and grabbed my hand "well I promise you, none of these horses will, got it?" Fallon asked me and I nodded. "Now about your room...you see we got quite a few kids this year and so we are making roommates, how do you feel about rooming with Noah, he Is 16, and going through similar problems. He got in a bad accident his first time riding..." she looked at me."uhh sure I can try rooming with him" I said and gave a smile,she then lead me down the hall and up the stairs, we went down the hall and knocked the on the last door in the hallway. A few minutes later we heard shuffling and the door opened, a head of brown hair and a pair of green eyes poked out. This must be Noah. "Noah hun, this is Remi, she's gonna be rooming with you, is that ok?" She asked him and he nodded. "Go on then. Go unpack" she told me with a shove, after being shoved in I looked around. There was one bed, a desk, and a dresser, there was also a little closet.

"So...your Noah?" I asked him after I put all my stuff away."yeah, you must be Remi..." he mumbled and I nodded, taking off my hood, I seen him look at my eyes. I always hated them, most people say I'm lucky for having one blue eye and one brown one, but I hate them. I looked at him confused and he just gave a small smile. I shrugged it off and went to get into some better clothes.

After changing into some jeans and a tank top and a new hoodie I went back to the room. There I found Noah FaceTiming someone I sighed and went to my bag and put on some boots he looked up from his phone and smiled. "Heyo Remi, what are you doing?" He asked me and we instantly heard screaming from the other side "OMG WHO IS THAT, ARE YOU TWO TOGHTER I SHIP IT SO MUCH. YASSS" the person yelled and he just laughed before talking to the person "No silly, it's my roommate, Remi...Wanna meet her?" He asked the phone and laughed before motioning me to sit by him, I declined it and sat on the ground, pulling my hood back up.  I looked into the phone(my hood was kinda covering my eyes) and gave a small smile. "Remi...this is my sister Baylee...Baylee meet Remi" she waved and I waved back before looking down at the floor, then I heard a whisper. "why does she have her hood up...like is she secretly a murder or something. Pretty creepy if you ask me" a new voice said, there was a few seconds of silence then I heard both Baylee and Noah yell"Ashley what the hell. You don't just ask or say that. Even if they aren't around."Baylee said "well it's true she looks like a creep" Ashley reasoned, I just got up and ran out.

When I looked up I found myself in front of Fallon's office." Oh hun, I was just coming to look for you, I'm gonna get the kids and we're gonna go meet out horses, sound fun?" She asked and I just looked at her with wide eyes before shaking my head no."IM NOT GOING IM  NOT GOING NEAR A HORSE EVER AGAIN!" I yelled out at her and she gave me a small smile "Remi...come on I gave you one of the best horses I own, I just got him, he isn't wild but he does have some sass, I promise you. He would Never EVER hurt someone, and Noah can help you if you wish, I know you two are roommates so I thought you would be closer, your horses are best  fiends, they do almost everything together" she explained, and I sighed before nodding, this was going to be terrible.

*Noah's  POV*

The rest of the kids already got there horses, it was just me and Remi left ,I felt bad after what Ashley said, I really did, her eyes were beautiful, some of the best looking eyes I have ever seen.

While walking to a pen in the back we talked, it wasn't much, but it was better then nothing. A few steps later we got there, it was a white painted wooden fence with a matching gate, beside the gate were four hooks, two with halters and the other two had buckets, the halters and buckets were matching, one being purple, the other being teal/bright blue. In the pen was a palomino Appaloosa, the other a dapple grey, they both looked beautiful(photos of them up above, and no they are not mine). I looked over at Remi who was shaking, man she must of had it worse then I did. I touched her shoulder and smiled at her, she gave me a shaky smile back. Of course I was scared, but this was a new horse, a new chance...
"Alright kiddos. These are your horses, Noah, buyouts is the dapple grey, Up in the smoke, his barn name is Cobalt, and Remi, that Palomino appaloosa over there is yours, his name is Gold Rush, or Ghost, he is the one I told you about, remember" Fallon said pointing at Cobalt then Ghost, she nodded slightly and Fallon smiled, yeesh I wonder why she is treating her so nicely, almost like a little kid. "Now Colbalt has the blue and Ghost has the purple halter, do you think you two could go and catch them by yourself, or would you like me to come along?" She asked us, and before I could say anything Remi quietly yelled out "you come with us" and grabbed his halter. I grabbed Cobalts and Fallon opened the gate, the horses heads went p at us and walked over, I smiled slightly and looked at Remi, I almost wanted to laugh, poor girl, her eyes were wide and she planted her feet as Fallon pushed her gently, I walked over to Storm, letting out a nervous breath and threw the lead rope around his neck before doing up the halter, I walked back to Fallon and Remi, with Ghost following us, Ghost went up to Fallon and Remi made a little squeal before turning around and Running to the fence jumping over it, the kids looked at her worried or confused as they stood there with their horses, Fallon sighed and put on Ghosts halter, he planted his feet, I kept walking, looking behind us to see Ghost and Fallon following.

*Remi's POV*

Fallon tied Ghost up and looked at me"R-" She started saying. I cut her off,"No, I'm not going near him. Look at him. HES GOING TO KILL ME" I stated as Fallon looked at Noah, I looked at her confused and before I knew it I was being carried over his shoulder. I hit and kicked him then he put me down and turned me around.  There he was. Ghost. Looking at me confused. I felt my eyes widen and stepped back, just to feel the chest of someone, I looked up and saw a random kid from the group. "Remi. Your fine. Atleast just stand by him" Fallon said and I sighed but stood by him, until he moved, then I ran off. "Good job Remi, now your done for the day or until later, I'm proud" Fallon exclaimed, smiling, I gave her a small smile and nodded. She undid his halter and he stood there, looking at me."Now the rest of you, go to the barn, each horse has a stall, the stall has there show names on them, so watch carefully. Remi, would you like to walk with me and Ghost to his stall?" She told us, then asked me sweetly, I looked down before nodding.

*Fallon's POV*
I looked at her and smiled before putting his halter back on "goodness he looks so girly, maybe I will have to get Remi to pick one out for him, from the photos I saw she has good colour-to-horse sense." I thought and patted his neck, he licked his lips. I looked over at Remi, she was looking at Noah and Cobalt. I smiled and walked over, I guess she heard us coming as she snapped out of it, looking at us before opening the gate.

When we got to his stall we put him in, he instantly went for a roll. I heard a little laugh and looked over at Remi, she had her hood down and was laughing. I looked at her and smiled. "Ready to go have some supper hun?" I asked her and she nodded, we walked back to the house and I started making Chicken with rice, fried vegetables, and a plate of fruit. I put the fruit in for the kids who liked it, I went to go get them, seeing all except Remi, I told them to go sit at the table before heading upstairs.
