The Forest of Death

When Kakashi finally found Suzuki he did not expect her to be curled up on the shoulders of the Leaf Villages top T&I specialist, let alone find the man smirking at Suzuki's small frame. At the very moment, Kakashi could have sworn his jaw had hit the floor and he'd pass out from shock. As Ibiki spotted Kakashi he walked over to the masked ninja. 

"Kakashi, your ninken was roaming about the exam building, be lucky she didn't cause me any trouble. Though I'm thinking of stealing her from you, she's quite the troublemaker." Ibiki huffed.

Kakashi visibly paled at that moment. Suzuki had caused trouble, and not with just anyone, but with Ibiki Morino of all people! Kami save them all! Sighing Kakashi composed himself before speaking.

"I'm sorry for any trouble she has caused you, she's very rambunctious as she is still quite young." Kakashi sighed.

"Hn. She was no bother, in fact she was entertaining to be around." Ibiki picked Suzuki up off his shoulder by the scruff, handing her over to a flabbergasted Kakashi. 

Kakashi gently grabbed Suzuki, holding her in his arms as Ibiki turned and walked away from the two.

'I like him! He's fun!' Suzuki yipped from Kakashi's arms.

Kakashi looked down at Suzuki surprised. What was with this little fox/cat and making friends with the most scary looking nin in this village?! First Kuromaru, Tsume's ninken, now Ibiki Morino! Kami have mercy on his poor soul! Sighing Kakashi began walking to the Hokage's office, the second part of the exams were about to begin soon. All the Sensei's will have to be ready to be summoned at any time, for the team to possibly pass and make it to the tower.

It would be a long time for this part of the exam to be over with. The teams were given five days total to make it to the center of the forest to a tower, where only those with both the Heaven scroll and the Earth scroll could continue onto the next part of the exams. Kakashi was really hoping his team would be able to make it. 

Within those five days, word got around that Orochimaru has been spotted in the Forest of Death. This immensely worried Kakashi, the Hokage and other ninja were now on high alert for the treacherous snake inside the village. When the fifth day came Kakashi was glad to see that his students had made it and would be competing in the next round. Though looking around he knew that to many teams had passed and the there would be a competition to eliminate some of the examines. After announcing the elimination rounds, the examines were instructed to move to the second level and wait for their names to appear on the screen. It just so happened that Sasuke was going to be one of the first people competing in this round.

Sasuke stood with Yoroi Akado. In the beginning it wasn't looking to good in Sasuke's favor as the curse mark on Sasuke's neck would act up anytime he tried using his Sharingan or chakra. Yoroi had used this to his advantage. Though Sasuke managed to pull through, using a make shift attack from a move Rock Lee was about to use on him before the written exams. With that, Sasuke managed to overcome the curse mark for a bit and defeat Yoroi.

(Okay so for the rounds, I'm just not feeling up to writing all the fighting details in.... I'm really sorry and I hope that's okay. Instead I'll just list who won from each round and the knock out moves used during those rounds to keep it short.)

Round 2: Zaku Abumi vs. Shino Aburame. Winner Shino, using his beetles to plug up Zaku's wind tunnels in his hands, breaking his arms further from use.

Round 3: Misumi Tsurugi vs. Kankuro. Winner Kankuro, with the use of his puppet he is able to fool Misumi into thinking he snapped his neck. In turn it was his puppet, catching Misumi off guard and catching him, Kankuro uses his puppet to render Misumi unconscious.

Round 4: Sakura Haruno vs. Ino Yamanaka. Tie. With equal strength the two knock each other other after a long and tiring match between the two, both determined to advance further and become stranger.

Round 5: Tenten vs. Temari. Winner Temari, with her fan she deflects all the weapons Tenten throws at her, her wind style beating Tenten's advance weapon skills.

Round 6: Shikamaru Nara vs. Kin Tsuchi. Winner Shikamaru, out smarts the sound nin, using his shadows he knocked her out by making her hit her head on the wall while dodging a kunai.

Round 7: Naruto Uzumaki vs. Kiba Inuzuka. Winner Naruto, an unexpected twist, Naruto disguises himself as Akamaru before taking down Kiba as well.

Round 8: Hinata Hyuga vs. Neji Hyuga. Winner Neji, with the intent to kill Hinata as she won't back down, Neji was restrained by the Jounin, an angry Naruto declaring he'll beat him for Hinata.

Round 9: Gaara vs. Rock Lee. Winner Gaara, using his sand he crushes Lee's arm and leg, destroying his chances of ever being a ninja. Guy stepping in to protect his student.

Round 10: Dosu Kinuta vs. Choji Akamichi. Winner Dosu, his sound waves deflecting Choji back into a wall and unconscious. 

With the rounds finished, Numbers were drawn for the remaining contestants for the third round of the Chunin exams that would continue next month. This gave them time to rest and heal up, along with train some more before the finals. The pairings are this,

Shikamaru vs. Dosu, winner faces Temari.

Naruto vs. Neji.

Gaara vs. Sasuke.

Kankuro vs. Shino.

With the matches decided, it was only time before the finals would take place. Sasuke, and Lee were currently in the hospital healing from their injuries. Others were about honing their skills to improve with what time they had.

(I'm sorry that this chapter isn't as interesting. I've recently got off work today, and figured I'd try and get a chapter in before i have to go back to work tomorrow. Please enjoy the short and uninteresting chapter! X3)
