⌜ chapter ten ⌟
"What did Gabriel say?" Jack asks as he sits down next to MJ.
She's at the table with Beth — who has the baby — Maggie, and Hershel. John and Mary are sitting on the steps that lead out, and the others are in the cellblock. They're all slowly coming out into the common area as they wake up.
"That I should stab him in the face." MJ says as she pushes her food around.
"Why would he say that?" He asks, confused, and she smiles as she looks at him.
"I love your innocence." She says, and he smiles.
"Thank you."
"What did Gabriel actually say?" John asks from across the room.
She sighs as she briefly glances over at her dad. "That I'm not living up to my full potential and I should be putting more effort into figuring out what needs to be done to find Cas." She tells him as Daryl walks into the room with Addy right behind him.
"And you said?" The blonde asks.
"Kiss my ass."
"Marie Jane." Mary scolds at the same time that Ellen laughs and says, "That's my girl."
"Awkward." Her brother fake coughs.
"Shut up, Dean." MJ kicks him when sits next to her.
"Hey!"
"What are you going to do about Gabriel anyway?" Matt asks, and she sighs as she lays her head down on the table.
"Stab him in the face." She mutters.
"What about how Pamela found him after he pulled us out of hell?" Dean asks.
"Sorry, I'm fresh out of psychics, and I no longer have his handprint burned into my shoulder." MJ says as she looks at him. "But thanks for playing."
"That doesn't sound like the Winchester can-do attitude that I've come to loathe." A new voice says, causing everyone to turn.
"Son of a bitch."
"Raphael." Dean and MJ both get to their feet. Jack immediately moves behind them as Addy and Ellen rush to his side.
"What are you doing here?" MJ question.
"I've come for the boy." The angel says. "We in heaven have no desire to go back and undo what's already been done."
"Uh-uh. Screw you, Raphael." She shakes her head. "Nobody's touching Jack."
