After climbing up the staircase and reaching the second floor, Nick pulls me towards a glass door. The door leads outside to one of the balcony's in this castle that the Payne family rented out. This venue used to be a real castle quite a long time ago. It was bought with its rights by the government of the late 1400's. They turned it into a public monument for elite events such as christenings for the royal family's children or other events for the wealthy people who could afford to even be in this part of town.

“So why did you bring me here?” I look down at the beautiful lit-up landscape of the city below us.

“I need to tell you something and you have to promise not get mad at me.” he closes the door behind him.

He clears his throat, but does not say anything. I promise to him that I would try not to get angry. He watches me with skeptic eyes but soon he starts to speak. “So I do not know if you knew about my Dad and Alister Balmain's new collaboration line?” he first asks.

I nod my head in agreements. The whole world knows about that new collaboration line coming out. I was ecstatic the first time I knew about it when I overheard Tatum and Dan discussing it the one day. “Yes, I do. What about it?” my brows frown.

“Well they asked me to model for their men's clothing and I said yes.” he clasps his hands together in distress.

“Oh that sounds great Nick!” I rejoice. When I take notice of his sullen facial expression I tilt my head puzzled. “You do not look that excited. Why not?”

He lets out a heavy breath — “The runway is in Stockholm Sweden and it takes around three to four months just to prepare for the three-day shows.” — his head hangs and he looks upset.

“Oh...”

He inclines his head, “Yeah and I leave on New Year's Eve.”

I hold my hand up to my face whilst a gasp escapes my mouth — “But that is in three days!” I exclaim incredulously.

“You promised not to freak out.” he voices.

“No! I promised to not get mad. I did not say that I would not freak out.” I correct him. I could not believe that he was going to be gone for such a long time. What about school? What about room 345? Is he really going to just let that go?

“What about school?” I find my voice. He shrugs casually and replies — “I think that three years are enough for me. Plus it is not like I have to go back. It is pointless really.”

“So why are you telling me this? I do not understand.” I try not to sound angry when I ask him. I have my hands tightened around the railings of the balcony's thst my hands start to turn completely white. One my grip was very tight and intense, and two the railings are very cold. It had started to snow a few hours ago anyways.

“I told you because...” he trails off as if he is scared to say the next few words.

“Because what Nick?”

“Because I love you.” his voice comes out breathless. “I did not want to just leave without some closure. I would hate myself if I did.”

I fold my hands across my chest and glare at him with fury in my eyes —— “Then why are you only telling me this now?”

He stutters a couple of incoherent words while I demand for an answer. The stars that were once in his glacier blue eyes die in front of me. They all explode and just... they all collapse. My first and hopefully last supernova. The death of the millions of stars that made his eyes lighten up.

“I have to go.”

“Autumn come on please do not leave!” Nick tries to run after me but I am long gone.
