Escaped

ELENA'S POV:
I woke up by the bright sun shining in my eyes. We slept better last week since my dad is in jail.    I turned around to see if Stefan was still sleeping, but all I saw were empty sheets. I got worried.  I walked downstairs. He was not in the living room so I walked to the kitchen. I saw he made me breakfast and he left a note on the counter. 

Good morning sunshine, 

I'm running now. I made you breakfast, which you might already have seen. I'll be back soon.

I smiled relieved. I picked the tray with breakfast and put it on the table. I finished my breakfast and walked to the kitchen to do the dishes. That's when Stefan walked in. "Hey, you're awake," he said smiling. "Yeah," I said smiling back. "I'm just gonna take a shower," he said kissing my cheek. "Okay, I'll see ya," I replied.  When I finished the dishes I walked to the couch and put the tv on. I watched the news:

"Hi, I'm David Williams. I'm here at the police station. A man escaped out of jail. So officer? Could you tell me what happened exactly? 'He killed the security and took the keys out of his pocket to open his cell. Then he escaped outside through the ventilation. We haven't found him yet.' And who is this man? "

I gasped when I saw the photo of the man coming on the screen. Stefan came downstairs with wet hair. I was still in shock. "Are you okay?" he asked. I couldn't talk or move as I stared at the tv. "Elena?" he asked worriedly shaking me. He followed my eyes to the screen of the tv and gasped. "Is that your dad?" he asked shocked. That's when I snapped out of my trance. "Watch this," I said as I replayed the news. "How...? They haven't found him? Asholes! They can't just let him wander around!" Stefan scolded at the tv. "I know," I said in a shaky voice. 

STEFAN'S POV:
When I finished showering and changed into clothes I walked downstairs. Elena looked shocked. "Are you okay?" I asked. 'No answer. "Elena?" I said worriedly shaking her. I saw her staring at the tv so I followed her eyes to the screen. I was shocked when I saw Elena's dad on tv. "Is that your dad?" That's when Elena snapped out of her trance. "Watch this," she said as she replayed the news. "How...? They haven't found him? Asholes! They can't just let him wander around! I scolded at the tv. "I know," Elena said in a shaky voice. I sat down next to Elena on the couch. "What are we going to do?" she said worriedly. "I don't know. For now, we just stay here". She snuggled herself close to me with her head resting on my shoulder.   I give her a soft kiss on her head and wrapped my arms around her.
