16. Confusion

Alejandro's POV

The next day came very slowly. It's as if even the moon goddess doesn't want me to tell her everything. And it was frustrating.

This time, she came into my office without knocking.

She walked towards me and stood in front of me and said nothing.

I signed the last contract and stood up.

"Let's go. "

She still said nothing but followed me obediently.

We drove to the church and her eyes changed colour a few times.

"I know. But keep it in. " I told her. She took a deep breath and remained calm.

We went in and I sighed.

"Bree, you are a half silver half blood wolf are you not?"

"What if I am?"

"You are a threat. A threat that could destroy the world. You have a power like no other wolves ha-"

"So do you." She interrupted.

"This church holds something deep for both of us."

"You?"

"Yes. And you are able to control your power actually. You just don't know how. "

"I believe I have perfect control over it. " She folded her arms.

"Do you? " I raised an eyebrow.

She stayed silent.

"But you can control them. Just like I did. That woman, she's manipulating you. "

"What? I don't understand a thing you're saying."

"Listen. Bree, you weren't born a normal wolf. You were born a blood wolf, but the syringe made you half silver wolf. "

"How do you know so much?"

"I have my ways. "

"Carry on."

"And this church, was where you were born is it not? "

"Did you do a background check on me?" She raised her voice.

"Of course. And this church is one of my pack's most treasured places."

"P-pack?"

I growled.

"Pack." I repeated.

"Why...why are you telling me all this.."

"Because Ms Everest, the world wants both of our heads. You think you're gonna return back to human if you kill me, but it will never happen. "

She said nothing but look down.

"And it's for 3 simple reasons. 1 is that that woman is a pyscho. 2 is you're weak. And 3,...."

I paused.

I hesitated.

I..stopped.

She didn't take any effort to ask further. She just took a step back and said, "So tell me, what am I supposed to do now?"

And I thought. She believed me?

"Honestly, I don't know what I am doing anymore. I built a pack, so I could be strong enough and worthy to kill you. I came to your company, so that I could gain information from you. It has been 4 fucking years. And I thought i could have gone to college or something. " She said quietly.

Ugh, story telling. How pathetic.

Not now Marco.

"And then you said all this shit. About how that woman is a psycho or...how you were in a pack or...that I can control...my powers. You probably know everything about me alrdy. My family, my pack, my life. So I ask you, what did that woman want from me?"

"She wants my head. She wants me dead. And she used you. "

"But why. Why me? Why me?! Of all people! Why was it me?!" She yelled.

"She's psycho, I already told you."

"Aren't there more blood wolves out there?!"

"I was the only one. No one knew you were the second. "

"So that's it? She chose me just because I'm a blood wolf? That's just bullshit!"

"It's true."

Night is falling soon. It's getting dark. We should have been going by now. But...

"What am I supposed to do now?! Kill you?! It won't make me a human again! Plus...i-i I have no resentment over you! I don't get it!!"

"Bree, calm down. "

She started shaking.

"Alejandro, she's confused right now. Don't take things too far. She knows too much. " her wolf spoke.

"You were the one who didn't tell her things Novis." 

"It was for her safety.."

"Safety? She wasn't safe the day she was born. "

"She was born different. Like you. She wasn't ready.."

I rolled my eyes.

"Give me Bree. "

"I'm warning you. Don't take things too far. "

Jesus, can she be anymore delusional? She's so fucking stupid. Crying over such matter.

Shut your mouth.

Alejandro! She's so weak! Why are you defending her?!

Nonetheless, she's our mate. Whether you like it or not.

I'm not mating with her.

I sighed.

Things were easy that day. I've only told her a quarter of the truth and she was already dying in confusion.

She didn't know anything from day one. Not even her own kind. And all she knows, is that she must kill Alejandro Black to gain back her "humanity".

And she was willing to do so because that's all she knows.

And if only she knew. The day she was born, she was no longer a human. She won't ever be like humans, because that's not where she belongs.

She belongs to the werewolf world. A world of revenge, bloodshed and despair. That's her world.

And yet she's still unwilling to accept that.
