Chapter 37

"Maya!"

"Maya!"

I woke up, feeling like someone had called me.

"Maya!" I heard again. What? Who's home? I quickly got up and went downstairs.

It was my parents.

"Mom! Dad!" I ran up to them giving them a tight hug

"My baby girl" my mom said

"What? What are you guys doing here! I missed you guys like crazy!" I said, still don't believing what I'm seeing

They chuckled, "I got a raise, I'm getting paid more, and I get to be home more often" my mom said

"And I'm able to be at home more on Fridays and Saturdays" my dad continued

I gasped, "this literally just made my day today! Oh my god, this is the best Friday ever man" I hugged my parents again

They laughed, "Shouldn't you be changing young lady?" My dad raised his eyebrows at me

I playfully rolled my eyes at him, "yeah, yeah, I guess" I ran back upstairs with the biggest smile on my face.

I applied my everyday makeup, and made wavy messy curls to my hair.

I checked myself in the mirror and decided to add a little lipgloss

I walked over to my closet and picked my outfit, gray/white net cardigan, white tank top, jeans, with knee high brown boots. I added with it a gold necklace that was a triangle.

After I finished, I checked myself in the mirror once again. I fixed some imperfections and walked out grabbing my stuff.

I walked in to the kitchen to where my parents were and they were cooking food.

"Yum, what are you guys making? It smells delicious"

"Pancakes, egg, sausage, coffee, and potatoes" my dad said, looking busy cooking the eggs.

"I'm kind of starving, ya know?" I told them, smirking.

They gave me a look.

"What?" I said, trying not to laugh.

They rolled their eyes, and I chuckled.

"So, is the food ready?" I asked again, smirking.

"Go ahead, and serve yourself honey, don't want to be late to school" my mom said, making herself a cup of coffee.

I nodded and gave them a cheesy smile "yay"

I grabbed a plate and served myself. I walked to the dinning room and sat at the table. I ate my food and checked my phone.

Jack: babe where are you?

Me: I'm at my house, I'll be there in a few I need to tell you something amazing! x

He texted me back, in seconds.

Jack: alright babe, want me go pick you up?

Me: Sure

Jack: be there in a few

I put back my phone in my pocket and continued eating my delicious food, "my boyfriend is going to take me to school today" I said to my parents

"Jack?" My mom asked

"Yes, Jack" I chuckled, "let me know when he comes, I'm gonna go brush my teeth real quick" I ran upstairs to the bathroom.

I finished brushing my teeth, and was getting all my stuff together. I grabbed my binders and textbooks. I than heard a beep outside and peeked through the window and saw Jack's car out in the street.
