YOU'D THINK TJ WOULD BE NICER TO BUFFY NOW. Considering how he's Cyrus' soulmate, as discovered this morning. Buffy assumed that the after school tutoring session would be a breeze now. Oh how wrong she was.

"You think I'm stupid." Tj sneered and Buffy rolled her eyes dramatically.

"I never said that!" She claimed but Tj didn't look convinced. He stood up angrily, grabbing his stuff.

"Well you're right." He concluded, leaving the classroom with loud stomps. His fists were clenched and his anger radiated off of him. He needed to go blow off some steam. Tj headed out towards the park, so he could throw some baskets, maybe scare away a few kids from his school. He continued walking but something stopped him. He looked around, the strong feeling he had screamed for him to search for someone. He continued glancing and finally laid eyes on Cyrus, sitting alone on the swings with his head down. The boy looked sad and the sight made Tj's heart swell. Yes, he had just met Cyrus this morning but he already feels attached to the boy, his soulmate. Tj didn't even have to think before he was walking over to him. Cyrus was singing as he kicked his legs. The song sounded sad, but still cute.

"Nice song." Tj said softly, resting his arm on the pole so he could face Cyrus. The small boy stopped abruptly and looked at Tj with a small smile.

"You got one for the slide?" Tj asked playfully and Cyrus laughed softly. The noise made Tj melt on the spot, he immediately wanted Cyrus to laugh more.

"Actually I do." Cyrus replied with a grin and Tj chuckled, pointing to the swing next to Cyrus.

"That seat taken?" He asked gently and Cyrus nodded quickly. Tj walked over and sat down, his long legs felt awkward on the kid swing but it was still comfortable. He turned to Cyrus with a genuine look.

"You seemed sad when I saw you. You okay?" He asked the petite brunette and Cyrus simply nodded.

"It's just something stupid. I'm afraid of being on camera, I had a panic attack over it." Cyrus said, sort of embarrassed. He let out a forced laugh as he played with the hem of his shirt.

"It was pretty pathetic." He stated and hoped that Tj didn't suddenly realize how wimpy his soulmate was. The taller boy didn't say anything so Cyrus looked up to meet his blue eyes, which held so much love and appreciation, Cyrus was taken aback.

"That's not pathetic. Plenty of people prefer to be behind the camera instead of in front." He said in a soft voice. Cyrus tilted his head and then sighed, facing forward.

"I'm sorry you got a wimpy soulmate." He whispered and Tj shook his head quickly, getting of his swing and kneeling in front of Cyrus.

"Don't say that." He mumbled, taking Cyrus's hand in his own.

"When I first saw you, before I even knew that you were my soulmate, I thought holy shit, that boy is adorable. I immediately felt like some sort of cliche. I'm not exaggerating." Tj said and moved up so that he could rest his forehead up against Cyrus'. The smaller boy let out shaky breaths, he felt at ease with Tj this close. It's nothing like how he was with Jonah. This is so much more. Wait Jonah.... Jonah! Cyrus jumped in realization which caused Tj to jolt back nervously.

"Wait did I make you uncomfortable?" Tj asked worriedly, he hoped he hadn't done something wrong. Oh god, Tj immediately got stressed, hoping Cyrus didn't think he was going too fast, he couldn't help it. Cyrus noticed Tj's internal freak out and grabbed his hand.

"Teej, it's okay." He whispered and the taller boy flushed at the nickname.

"I just remembered that I told Jonah I'd come back to help him film." He said and Tj let out a breathe of relief.

"Oh. Okay." He stood up and lightly pulled Cyrus up from the swing with his hand. Cyrus laughed softly and Tj wanted to cry because there's that sound again.

"Tj!" A feminine voice shouted and the basketball captain wanted to roll his eyes. It seems like every time he gets a good moment with Cyrus, Buffy strolls in. Tj reluctantly let go of Cyrus' hand, turning around to face the curly haired girl.

"Cyrus?" She asked, confusion evident in her voice.

"Hey Buff. I'll leave you two alone now." Cyrus turned around but then turned back.

"You know where to find me." He said to both of them and Tj felt his smile drain from his face as Cyrus left. Immediately he was sour and angry, especially at the one who caused Cyrus to go too soon. He looked at Buffy and rolled his eyes.

"What do you want." He sneered and she looked shocked then angry.

"You can't just shut out anyone who's not Cyrus. That's not how soulmates work Tj." She said which made Tj even angrier.

"I don't shut everyone out, just the annoying curly haired pricks who think they're better than everyone else!" He raised his voice as he spoke and for a moment he felt guilty, seeing the hurt flash across Buffy's face. But it was gone with the blink of an eye and soon replaced with anger.

"Ugh you're such a dick! I swear to god I'll tell Cyrus about this. You know what will happen? He'll hate you too. Because just because the universe thinks you too are good together, doesn't mean that I do. And Cyrus would take my word over the universe's any day. Goodbye Kippen. See you never." Buffy concluded, marching off and flipping her hair without even looking back. It's sad she didn't though or she would've seen the way Tj crumpled down and erupted into tears.

"Classic Tj. Not even your so-soulmate wants to deal with y-you now." He mumbled as he let out a sob, that turned into an angry wail. He slammed his fist into the pole beside the swings and then let out a wheeze as he grabbed his newly injured hand with a sad look.

Tj Kippen was a mess.
