Ashlynn sat in the infirmary for a few more minutes, trying to control her burning cheeks.

"Get over yourself Ash," She said to herself. "Why are you acting like this?"

She thought back to all the times her and Edmund had been affectionate to each other. It was a normal part of their friendship. Ashlynn had never been so flustered around him before. So what had changed?

After finally managing to compose herself, Ashlynn exited the medicine bay. She wasn't sure where she was planning on going, but she needed to walk around. As she drifted between the soldiers she noticed everyone's moral was very low. The defeat at the castle was a strong blow to the Narnians' strength. She wished she could help boost their mood, but she was just as upset as they were. She continued floating aimlessly, occasionally greeting people she knew. She scanned the crowed to try and find Caspian, knowing he was probably hurting the most. She furrowed her eyebrows when she couldn't find him. She decided to search for the familiar hair of her best friend, but when she couldn't find him either, she began to worry. Suddenly, the sound of swords clashing filled her ears and she immediately took off in the direction of the sound. She pulled her dagger out of her belt as she ran, preparing herself for a fight. When she rounded the corner was surprised to see Peter, Edmund, and Trumpkin in the middle of a battle. Edmund was fending off a werewolf-looking creature, while Peter was distracted by an old hag. Ashlynn looked over at Lucy when she heard her scream out in pain and immediately bolted over. She knocked Nikabrick over and scooped up Lucy's knife, handing it back to the young girl. Nikabrick was ready to attack Ashlynn, but Trumpkin's dagger pierced him from behind. Ashlynn gasped, not expecting the dwarf to kill his friend. Ashlynn gave Trumpkin a small nod of sympathy, but the dwarf ignored her, simply staring at the dead body of his comrade. Ashlynn was about to reach out but Peter's harsh voice caught her attention.

"Get away from him!" Ashlynn looked over to see Peter push Caspian away. Peter had his sword extended forward, ready to strike the threat. When Ashlynn looked at the attacker her blood ran cold. Floating in a sheet of ice was the woman that had caused her so much pain. Her face screamed evil and a sick smirk was twisted over her lips.

"Peter dear, I have missed you. Come on, just one drop." The Witch spoke, making the room drop in temperature.

Ashlynn noticed Peter's sword begin to drop slightly and she rushed over to get him away from the Witch's influence.

"Leave him alone!" She roared, her face full of fury.

The Witch's face morphed into a small smile. "Ashlynn, love. It's been to long. Why don't you join me again. We could have such fun."

Ashlynn sneered at the disgusting woman before her, fire burning in her eyes.

"Never, you witch," She spat before letting her dagger fly into the woman's forehead.
