"I forgive you, but.." Jae paused, glancing around at all of them, seeing their expectant faces. "I think I need some time to process everything. I mean," He rubbed the back of his neck once he saw their faces fell. "It's a lot to process. You just told me you're apart of some mafia," He scoffed. "And I'm still trying to get over the fact that I was raped," He spat the word in disgust.
The single word made every boy in the car churn in anger, a scowl on their faces. With a sigh, Taehyung spoke up from among them. "We understand, Jae. It is a lot to process," He have the male reassuring smile. "And take all the time you need, okay? We will wait," The sentence made Jungkook perk up, a frown on his bunny-like features.
"No, wait, not all the time, because then I'll start to become impatient—"
"Jungkook, hush up," Jin shushed the younger, giving a quick glare to Jungkook, which made him pout. The scene made Jae chuckle, shaking his head.
"I won't make you wait too long, Kook," He reassured him, making the other grin. Jae cared about the boys around him, even though they hurt him. It was weird how quickly he forgave them, and he mentally scolded himself for it. Yet, something in his heart told him to do so. Like he'd regret it if he didn't.
Namjoon rubbed his forehead before giving a tired smile, "Do you want us to drop you off at home? Or do you want to go back to the diner?" He questioned softly. Jae parted his lips before smiling.
"You can take me back," He responded, watching Namjoon nod and signal the driver to move. Jae pursed his lips when the vehicle started moving and the silence grew awkward.
Jae glanced towards all of their faces, noticing Taehyung's hard look, as if he was thinking really hard. The younger pursed his lips. He hated how awkward the entire ride was, it made him very anxious.
"D..Do you want to stop and get some.. ice cream?" Jae questioned everyone, watching their hard looks turn to ones of confusion. Namjoon raised a brow at the younger's suggestion, surprised.
Jae gulped, stammering to recover himself, "I just.. had a sudden craving," That was partly true. The other reason was to get rid of how awkward it was. What's better than eating ice cream?
"Very sudden," Hoseok commented with a scoff, though he had a playful smile on his lips. Jae smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Why not? I'm kinda hungry, ice cream sounds nice," Yoongi shrugged, leaning back in his seat. Namjoon sighed, nodding and telling the driver to go to the nearest ice cream shop instead of going to Jae's house.
