Chapter 8

"Yo! Phrachan!" Leo startled a little when an arm slumped on his shoulder but at ease after he recognized the voice.

"Can't you be even louder, Ai'Mark?" Mark laughed and tapped Leo's shoulder.

"How's your holiday? You seriously went off radar since the school was off. Damn man, you didn't even congratulate my winning weeks ago."

Leo blinked. "Oh... no. Sorry Mark. Your band won?" Mark grinned.

"Yeap, and the money price even after divided among us is enough to pay for this semester." Mark said smugly. Leo chuckled.

"Good for you, and congrats even it's late." Mark shoved Leo by shoulder playfully. They're shoving each other before Mark stopped when he saw a familiar figure near them. With a full smile, he moved away from Leo who tilted his head in confusion.

"Morning, Pete!" Mark greeted and hugged Pete from behind. Pete gasped before wiggling away from Mark.

"Damn, Mark. Let me go."

"No, don't want."

"Ai'Mark." Pete warned. Mark pouted and let go. Leo just raised his brow to see them both like this. Did I miss out something? Leo said to himself. Pete didn't say anything further continued walking. Mark followed behind but blessed him, he still remembered to pull Leo walking after Pete. The trio walked into the school building that started to buzz with voices after few weeks of semester break.

There were new faces too, it's another year to start so the new freshmen were flooding in. Leo and his friends was the senior this year and they knew it will be super busy for them. Moreover for Leo now. The trio miraculously again set into the same class, and they're sitting together. Once they chose the seat, Leo tapped his friends' shoulder for attention. Mark turned while Pete gave a glance saying he's all ears even though he pulled out a book later.

"Well. I just want you guys to know why I'm missing in action the whole semester break." Leo started. That made Pete turned to him as well. Leo gave a smile. "It's nothing bad. Just I got an offer."

"Hm?" Mark blinked.

"There's a director approached Mr. Rit and casted me for a role in his series." Pete and Mark looked surprise.

"You're going to be actor?" This time, it was Pete with soft voice.

"Something like that... it's just a minor role but I was packed with acting classes, to gain more knowledge and confident to act before camera. Well, you know I'm only used to stage play." Leo explained. Mark nodded.

"Woah. Good for you then, man." Mark said patting Leo's shoulder in proud. Pete just nodded along.

"Thank you. I'm sorry for not telling and had been missing in action."

"No worries." Mark grinned. "But later, tell us more." Mark cut their conversation when he noticed the teacher came in. The trio turned their focus to the front. The first day of their senior year was going to start right then.
