The Secret of the Sun, Moon and Stars [Hiatus/Writerblock]

Chapter 12

"Sawadee krub. I'm sorry I'm late a bit, P'Kan." Leo said as he arrived to greet Kan. Kan smiled.

"It's okay, I know the traffic is quite bad to come here. Anyway, you're going to help lighting team today." Kan said and Leo nodded. "Oh, and make sure to notice which one is our team, because there's also another filming happened in this park."

"Oh?"

"You know most of our team members but remember, we all are with the blue shirt na?" Kan said. Leo just nodded, blinking a little. He then went to join the lighting team as he remembered who was the leader.

Today is the important day for Kan's team as they're filming the most intense scene in the story. It had fighting scene and involved with some weapon like knives and guns. So, the team was working hard to make the filming as smooth as they can without any injuries. The actors had their thorough lesson while the extras for the fighting scene were pro action actors and had been practicing the moves with all of them. The cameras were also set up for perfect shot, the cameramen also had been briefed for it.

Leo glanced over as he watched the actors and the extras listened to their acting coach for the scene. "Leo, I want to ask your opinion." Leo turned and made eyes with the lighting team leader.

"My opinion?" The leader nodded. He was pointing at the screen.

"We're adjusting the light here. Given that now is the sun bright up there, I'm not sure if our setting now is good. Tell me what do you have in mind." The man said looking at Leo. Leo blinked and stared at the screen. He can't believe the leader asked for his opinion but he never afraid to say what is in his mind.

"I think it's good enough for now. If the sun brightness changed later, we could dim this light and put another light source around this area so that we will get the same light as before." Leo said calmly and turned to the leader. The man smiled as he nodded.

"It's your first time with the lighting team but you know it so well." Leo blushed.

"I..."

"Don't feel shy. I have heard a lot about you from the other people who had worked with you I'm just testing you and you're not disappointing me." The leader patted Leo's back. Leo scratched his hair.

"Heh. Well, he got private lesson with P'Kan all the time. So good." A mocking voice heard. Leo felt a little hurt while the leader turned to the source. It was one of his team members who always said whatever he wanted too. Leo was the recent target as everyone praised him so much even though he's young and just came to help because their director brought him.

"If that's a compliment, it's good. But if you're purposely saying that for hurting him, stop it Toy." The guy rolled his eyes and left to do his work. The leader sighed and turned to Leo. "Ignore Toy, Leo. He's always like that."

"Yeah, don't mind him. I hate his mouth but yeah, everyone knows he's great with his work." Another member of lighting team said. Leo smiled lightly and nodded. He realized that not everyone likes him. He understood it thou.

There's squealing they heard that caught their attention. "What's that?" The leader couldn't help but asked.

"Oh, I have heard that there's other filming is ongoing here. It was for a MV of a famous band. I bet the squeal is because of the fans." The same member said. They just nodded away to the statement. "I hope that filming team knew we're doing filming as well and told the fans to be quiet."

"I think it's better to send someone to remind them." The leader said. "I will tell P'Kan about this." He said and left. Leo stayed with the same guy, monitoring the light they had been setting. They're going to start filming as soon as the coach ended the briefing. So, the lighting team needed to be alerted with the light given that they're filming outdoor today.
