Opening his eyes, Nix frantically looked around his surrounding. Hoping to find out where he was. And how he got there.

He's met with an endless black void. He looks down, he can see his body perfectly as if it was bathed in light.

Which confused him.

Nix tries to rack his brain for the last thing he can remember. The last thing he recalls is fighting the Bull-Man, if he won or not he doesn't know.

Maybe, he lost and this is the afterlife he forgot the last time he was reborn.

Hopefully, that wasn't the case and he was just unconscious. And he was recuperating at their family Manor. Or even Atlas, with General Ironwood.

Unconscious?

Nix raised his arms out in front of him, he felt an ache in his right shoulder. Which meant he wasn't dead, at least.

Nix tried to summon his Staff but wasn't able to.

Next, Nix searched for his Aura but found that is was dangerously low. Which should mean that he hasn't been out that long. But also meant that he couldn't use his Aura until it regenerated.

Looking around the abyss, Nix wasn't sure what else he could try. He hoped that this worked, otherwise he'd be here for a while. "Hello? Anyone there?"

There was no response. Maybe he was in a coma from overusing his Aura. As it was a common thing in Remnant, battling against the Grimm.

Nix jumped(?) when he heard a voice speak behind him.

"Finally awake, are we?"

Turning around, Nix sees her standing behind him with her usual blank look.

"I guess? Wait, what do you mean finally? How long have I been out for?" Nix frowned at his seeming lack of information at his current situation.

She stared at him in silence for a few moments. "Yes, finally. You've been out for a little over six days now. It seems being stabbed in the back exhausted you enough to force you into a coma for a short time. Your exhausted Aura has been working overtime, assisting in your recovery." She walked away from him.

Tilting his head in curiosity, Nix began to feel around his body for any pains. He didn't feel anything, though his shoulder still ached. "Six days? I've been out for six days? My family must be worried sick about me, I need to wake up now then." He saw that she continued walking away from him.

But Nix couldn't walk, seeing as there was no visible floor, nor did he feel one.

Nix saw ripples appear as she walked away. He imagined a floor below him, he took a step to see if it worked.

Seeing it work, Nix quickly caught up to her, as she was walking slow.

Looking at her from beside her, he was going to ask his question again, but she began to speak.

"You were supposed to be here for at least a day, so you could make better relations. But from the time you wake up, you'll have less than three hours to interact with the locals." She waved her hand changing the scenery around them.

Looking around, Nix saw that she changed the abyss into the cosmos. "Locals? Where am I? Does my family know where I am? Are they alright?"

She stopped, her face grew a soft smile when a galaxy appeared next to her. "Yes locals, they are the ones taking care of your body at the moment. Your family only knows of your disappearance, as they were present at the time. And they are as fine as can be, with their son having vanished some days ago."
