You were walking on the hallway and you passed the bulletin board. Something caught your attention. It was an announcement from your student council president. She was making a study group. You wanted to join because college is getting nearer. You need to take exams on colleges and mostly  to Seoul National University. You have to get in there.

You messaged her. She was happy that she has a study buddy and she like to study with somebody. You also liked the idea of sharing ideas when studying and arguing over small matters.

The class ended and you two was going to meet at the coffee shop near your school. You arrived there and you don't see her. You waited at the table near the window. It was a long rectangular table and the chairs were stool bars. The shop smells great as always

"y/n, the president told me you are in our study group." someone said. You startled because you were spacing out. He chuckled and sat beside you.

"Ah, you are also in the group. By the way, what's your name?" You asked as you take out your books and notebooks for studying. He also takes out his things.

"I'm Huening Kai. Kai for short. I am from class 4." he said. I started studying. We were so quiet. You were so mad because you can't focus. The atmoshpere is distracting. You slam your pen down.

"Kai, where is the president?" you asked. He was so into studying. His notes were detailed.

"Uhmm she told me she can't come because of the meeting. She told me to just study with you. Next time, she'll study with us." he said. You took a deep breath. You are looking somewhere to find an escape.

"Should we eat first? My brain is aching." He said as he massage his temples. You laughed because he looks really drained. "What do you want?"

"Uh, strawberry shortcake and coffee frappé." you said and you lend him your card but he refused. You just thanked him and waited patiently. You were scrolling on your phone in instagram staring at your faves. Probably, your husbands and boyfriends that will never be your husbands and boyfriends.

He came holding on small whole strawberry shortcake. You were shocked that he'd buy the whole small cake, you just wanted a slice. His drink was matcha green tea shake.

"Thanks." you said. Drinking your coffee frappé and afraid to take a bite on the cake.

"Ya, eat this." he said while holding the fork with cake ready to feed onyour mouth. You raised you left eyebrow and lean your head away. He frowned.

"Why? Just take a bite." he said and he look so cute. You thought, how come a boy your age is this cute.

You gave in and take a bit. You cringe at your actions but his aegyo is buying. You two finished the cake and it was not enough because he took a big bite.

You two fixed your things and was outside the coffee shop.

"I am looking forward to the next study meeting." you said and you exchange numbers with him. You also made a group chat.

✉¹ you checked the message on your group chat. He send a candid picture of you back in the coffee shop that you didn't know. You were smiling brightly while sipping your drink.

"너무 귀엽다."
