it was cliche, a cliche first kiss. it was messy and bakugou was still trying to figure out what the fuck to do, when shouto pulled away. he smiled sadly, and cleared his throat.
"i have a tendency to just get up and leave," shouto gulped. "i'm sure you could tell."
bakugou's face was flushed red, pulling his hands away from shouto's neck. and lowering them so shouto cold hold them.
"i don't like trouble. it makes my life more, well, troublesome. uraraka tends to call me 'emotionally constipated,' whatever that means. so having you leave me, when i was so used to being the one who did it first, hurt," he waved a hand mindlessly, a habit he'd inhabited from deku. "but that's fine.
"it took a while, i'll admit, to not see you nor my feelings as trouble. feeling so much for someone after being so numb, if you will, was overwhelming. but i handled myself fine.
"but.. yeah. i uh, i love you, bakugou."
bakugou looked down and mumbled something inaudible.
"what?" shouto asked.
"katsuki. say it again."
"...i love you katsuki?"
"i love you too shouto."
