Chapter 22 'you saved me'

Caroline's pov

I stare at the blood bag in my hands and then back up to klaus.
" this is disgusting, I don't think I'll ever get used to this" I sigh. He slightly chuckles at me and takes the bag, ripping off the seal and handing it back to me.
"Trust me love, soon enough this will be the best thing in your life" I roll my eyes at him and then lift the bag to my lips and start drinking. The feeling in my throat is probably one of the best feelings I've felt. I can feel my eyes coming up in those lines and the fangs coming out.
Once I'm finished I throw the bag to the floor and step close to klaus.
"I need more" I snarl at him
"We don't have anymore, remember this lesson is about control" I feel the rage burn up in me and the next thing I know I'm pushing him against a wall and baring my fangs to him.
" I want more Klaus! I'm still hungry. Give me more or I'll go find someone to sink my teeth into" klaus looks quite shocked and then recomposes himself and cups my face, rubbing his thumb over my cheeks making me calm down.
"Caroline, you'll get more but if you want to feed and function properly and go back to school and see your family then you need to learn control" the guilt for snapping at him comes rushing in. I step back and my eyes widen.
"Klaus..I'm so sorry..I don't know what I was thinking, you're just trying to help and I can't even control myself." He brushes the hair out of my face and behind my ear and then smiles at me.
"It's okay love, everyone's been through it. We'll get you through this, it might take time but we'll get through it together"
"Thank you klaus" he looks away for a moment and then looks back to me with that devilish grin of his.
"I think it's time to try the real deal. How about we go grab a real snack?" I'm confused as to what he's implying but I'll just go with it.

Klaus POV

I sit across from Caroline in a booth at the mystic grill. She's so radiant, even in death, she gives the room a lift of life. How could anyone mistreat her.
"Okay so pick someone" I tell her while scanning the people around us, trying to find who would be the perfect person for her proper first person. She looks at me confused so I roll my eyes. "To feed on Caroline. The only way you're going to be able to control yourself perfectly is if you learn snatch, eat and erase. Of course i would just snatch and eat but I know you would refuse that." She glares at me with a slight hint of amusement in her eyes despite how hard she's trying to hide it.
"Fine, but once I've learnt this, I'll be able to survive on blood bags without losing my shit right?" I chuckle at her and nod. She sighs and scans the room. I notice her eyes land on a dumb looking jock type guy. I look at her impressed and smile.  "Him"
"Good choice, just flirt with him a little, tell him there's a party and lore him into the woods, near the Lockwood cellar. I'll be waiting Caroline" I stand up and wink at her before leaving the grill.

Klaus POV

It's been around 30 minutes since I left and I'm standing in the entrance of the cellar but just out of sight when I hear them.
"I'm sure it was just around here. Let me just text my friend and find out" I hear Caroline's voice. I peak around the corner so I can see him but he can't see me. I see Caroline approach him, looking him straight in the eyes. Good remember what I taught you.
"Don't scream and don't move" she hesitates for a moment before digging her fangs into his neck and gripping his body. I step out from the shadows and approach her.
"Good Caroline." She moans and carries on despite him being passed out now. I put a hand on her back. "Love, you need to stop or he will die." She pulls away from him and turns back to smirk at me. She turns back to him and holds him up while she feeds him her blood. He wakes up and starts to panic again. "Forget about ever meeting me and this happening, go home and tell your parents you love them" and just like that he walks away. Caroline turns back to me, blood dripping down her mouth and neck.
"Is it odd I've never been more attracted to you than I am right now" I tell her with a hint of lust in my voice. She steps closer to me, wiping some of the blood off of her lips and wiping it onto mine while holding eye contact. I grab her waist and pull her into me.
"There's nothing to stop us now klaus" instantly I start kissing her. She jumps up and wraps her legs around me, I instantly push her against a tree and grab her hair. Finally, this is what I've waited for since I first laid eyes on her.

Caroline's pov

I pull away from klaus' grip and start to put my clothes back on and pull the twigs out of my hair. I've never felt more alive than I do right now. The feeling is indescribable. I can feed without killing anyone and I've just had possibly the best sex of my life. I turn back to watch klaus dress himself and admire the view. Once he's finished a sense of relief rushes over me. I rush forwards to him and hug him.
"Thank you klaus. You saved me from becoming a monster. I would never have got through this without you" he kisses my head and strokes my hair.
"Anything for you love"
