"Where are we going, Leah?" Taiga asked her when her Eve came angrily into the room.

"I do not want to be here with Rowen." she said angrily, taking her dark blue coat.

She picked up the phone and shoved it in her coat pocket. When she turned to bed, Taiga sat in it in her human form.

"Has something happened?"

Leah stopped. She was facing her back to her Servamp. Taiga knew. She knew, but she still asked. She could hear everything through the door. Perhaps the whole building had heard.

"You heard..." muttered Leah silently.

"Well, I am pretending I did not." she said sighing. "I'm trying to be decent."

Eve did not answer her. She came to her, and Taiga turned into a cat. She took her in her hands and stormed out of the apartment. Rowen tried to say something to her and stop her. But Leah simply walked past her. As they moved away from the building, Taiga jumped out of her hands and turned into a human form.

"Well... What happened?" she said, gathering her hands behind her back.

Her coat played freely on the evening wind. The heels of her boots produced only sound on a quiet street. There were not many people out. Leah and Taiga walked in silence for a while. Then Eve sighed.

"Mom."

Servamp nodded slightly.

"Do you want to talk about it?" she muttered, looking at her.

There was once again silence. Taiga stared at Leah. She looked as though she was fighting whether or not to tell her. She looked forward and sighed.

"If you tell me, maybe you can find something you want to fight for."

Eve looked at her Servamp.

"What do you mean?" she whispered.

"Something is holding you back... It's like a big wall between you and what you want to protect. Maybe that's it."

She looked at her with her red eyes. Leah blinked several times and sighed.

"The truth is... My mom has no financial problems. She..." she paused for a moment and bowed her head. "She is schizophrenic. She always was. But it got worse when we returned one day from the trip."

"What happened?"

"We had a car accident. It was nothing serious, but I think that was the moment when something inside her snapped." she said softly. "Since then it she has become terrible, she thought everyone threatened her..."

She paused and turned to Taiga with tearful eyes.

"But nevertheless, she never hit us. Never!"

Taiga walked in silence for a few moments. Then she just sighed and patted her shoulder.

"Leah, I still think you should listen to what Rowen has to say." she said. "Even though you hate to admit it, you know she would never do something like that if there was no reason."

Silence again reigned among them. Leah smiled and wiped her eyes. She lifted her head.

"Yes... You're right..." she murmured, then smiled. "How do you always know what to say?"

She grinned and started jumping like a little kid.

"Of course I know! I'm always right!" she shouted and turned several times.
