Happy birthday Tobias!! <3

It wasn't often that his mother asked him to go grocery shopping, but he did it nonetheless. Tobias made his way to his house only to find all of the lights off.

'Weird, usually we keep at least one light on.'

Tobias taught as he reached the door and lightly knocked. There was no answer. He tried turning the door knob and it was surprisingly unlocked. It was all so unordinary and his senses told him to not open the door. He stood there for a few minutes, thinking about what he should do. After a while he had finally made up his mind.

'If I die then curiosity killed me.'

He opened the door slowly when all the lights came on. "SURPISE!" He looked around as he saw all of his friends and his mom there. "Huh?" He said, not knowing what was going on. "Do you seriously not remember your own birthday?" David asked, laughing. "But, I thought I told you guys I didn't want to do anything for it."

"We couldn't just let you do nothing on your birthday!" Eric said grinning ear to ear. "Yeah, now let's party!" Maria cheered.

The rest of the night was spent watching movies, playing video games and chatting. Eventually, the night came to an end. It was pretty late at night- almost midnight- when they all decided it was time for them to leave. Tobias waved them goodbye and turned back to the sofa. David sat there asleep. He walks to the small boy, about to wake him up when he gets stopped.

"Shouldn't I wake him up, Mom? He should probably go home." He whispers. "It's fine. I'll call his parents and tell them that he's staying to night. Ok?"

Tobi sat on the end of the sofa, minding his own business when he hears David shift around. "Tobi? What time is it?" David says groggily. "Around 2am." He responds quietly.

"Ah, my parents are going to kill-"

"Don't worry about it. My mom called them. Now, you should go to sleep."

"I should go to sleep? YOU should go to sleep. It's 2am! Why are you still up?!"

"I couldn't. Why do you think I'm sitting here on my phone?"

"Well, if you're gonna stay up then I'll stay up with you." David smiled.

"No way. You'll be too tired for school tomorrow."

"Then what about you? I'll only go to sleep if you do. Deal?" David extended his hand out to the boy.

"Fine." Tobi shook David's hand in agreement. "Then, I guess I'll try to sleep." He said, getting up when he feels David's hand grab him. "Umm... I don't want to be left alone in here." David sighed and blushed a little. "I guess you can sleep in my room with me then. But, we'll have to share the bed. Oh, and maybe you can borrow some clothes to sleep in." David smiled and nodded. "Ok, let's go then."

David and Tobi layed in the bed, not facing each other when David complains "How am I supposed to  tell if you're actually sleeping if I can't see your face."

"You know, David, you're so hard to please." Tobias turned to face him. "I know." David laughed. "Happy?" David smiled happily and wrapped his arms around Tobias. "Mhm." He hugged Tobias tightly.

"Hey, thanks for planning that party."

"Anything for you." David said as sleep consumed them.
