I walk around outside aimlessly. I needed to get my mind off things. I couldn't just stay in my room crying all day. Walking past the park, I saw David and Tobias together.

Is this what they're doing without me? Just hanging out in the park?

Frowning at the thought, I unconciously began to follow them. I was close enough to hear what they were saying but, not close enough for them to notice me.

"Hey, why did you-"

"Tobi, I like you. Will you go out with me?"

Upon hearing those words it felt like my heart shattered.

So that's why he didn't want me to come. I would have just been a third wheel... just like I always am.

For the second time that day, tears streamed down my face. I began to run to who knows where.

All I knew was that I didn't want to be near them. I don't care. Just anywhere but that stupid park.

Tears blurred my vision as I kept running until I ran into something. I fell harshly onto the ground. "Ow." I heard another voice. "Hey, what do you think you're- wait... Felix? Are you okay?" I looked up to see a tall figure. From their height and voice it sounded like Eric. "Ye-yeah, I-I'm ok" I sobbed out.

"Why are you crying then?"

I couldn't answer, I just kept sobbing. "Come on, let's get you home." I wiped my tears away to see his smiling face. I nodded my head and got up.

The way back was silent. I was still crying, but silently. Eric stayed silent. I'm not sure why but, for once he shut his mouth. After around twenty minutes, we arrived at my front door. I stepped inside and turned around. "Thanks for walking me back home. Have a safe walk home."

"You think I'm gonna just leave you at your house by yourself after I saw you cry? Hell naw. You're gonna tell me why you're crying and I'm not taking no as answer." He stepped inside, closed the door, and took a seat on the couch. "So tell me what happened."

"It's nothing."

"Yeah, right. I'll believe you when unicorns destroy the earth."

"I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be 'I'll believe you when pigs fly'"

"Yeah, whatever. Now, stop stalling and tell me."

"I just saw David confess to Tobias..." I mumbled.

"That's a good thing though? Isn't it?" Eric asked thoroughly confused as to why I was upset.

How dense is this guy?

"Isn't it obvious. I'm upset because I like David."

"Of course you do. He's our friend."

I swear one day I'm gonna strangle him.

I facepalmed. "Not like that dummy. More than a friend."

His mouth made a little 'o' shape. "Well, do you know if Tobias likes him the same way?"

"No, I didn't hear Tobi's response because that's when I bolted outta there."

"Then, they might not get together. You may still have a chance."

I smiled at Eric. He was right. You never know.

"Hey, David may not like you back but, remember I'll always be here for you."

"Thanks, Eric. You're the best."
