"Dakota come on, we have to go!" Jason pleaded. "I can't believe that piece of...-" "Shit? Yes, I couldn't agree more. Now, if you want them to know that you know their secret and get killed, stay. Be my guest, or you could leave and survive. Now come on Dakota!" Jason stated. "Jason..." I boomed. This got Heinz and Bella's attention.

They slowly walked towards the door and Jason and I sprinted off to our rooms. I slammed my door and stood tight against it, holding my breath. 'Please tell me they didn't hear me.'

"Dakota?" Stephanie stammered. My nerves exploded. "Oh, Stephanie." I gulped. "Um, what are doing?" She asked, getting up from my bed. "Er... Jason. I was at Jason's doing... Reading, no. Um, we were..." I couldn't lie. "Come on Dakota, I can see right through you. What's really going on?" Stephanie asked.

My shoulders lowered. I couldn't lie to Stephanie. And she's so good to me. My only reliable friend beside Jason right now. "Can I trust you?" I asked. "Defs Dakota." Stephanie answered. "Well, Jason and I were spying on Bella and Heinz, and we found out that they're an item, even though he just told me he had feelings for me! The mother... And I have to find out what Heinz meant when he said by getting me to like him their job could be easily done. What does he mean by that? How could I have liked someone like him? Damn, I wish, I wish this apocalypse never happened, that way, I would've never run into his arms like a damsel in distress!" I explained. "Wow, you let out a lot of steam. That beats me though, I wonder what they could be talking about. The job. It's weird." Stephanie replied.

"People like Heinz doesn't deserve someone as great as you Dakota!" Stephanie added.

"I have to go now, but I left you some clothes for tomorrow, for the hunt." Stephanie reported as I lay my eyes upon the ripped jeans, Doc Martins and waist tight sweater laying on my bed. "Thanks Stephanie. You're really a great help." I marveled. "Anything for a friend." She smirked and left my room.

I fell onto my bed and drifted off into my thoughts. Next thing I knew sun rays shone through the small window in my room. Suddenly I heard a knock on my door. "Dakota, its Stephanie." She spoke. "Yeah, come on in." I croaked. She entered my room but I could barely see her. My eyes were narrow and swollen. I fell asleep last night trying to piece together the mystery.

"Um, we gonna head out soon. So, you're gonna have to say goodbye to your bed...for now." Stephanie insisted, standing at my doorway. "Okay." I responded, still registering. She exited my room as sudden as she entered.

Stephanie's POV

Goddammit Heinz! I made my way to Heinz's room only to find him getting dressed. "Heinz you fool!" I exclaimed. "What did I do?" He asked, dumbfounded. "What you always do, make mistakes!" I fumed as I shut the door behind me. "What are you talking about Stephanie?" He asked, buttoning up his shirt. "Dakota caught you and Bella with your little get-together last night. She's catching on Heinz. She's going to piece everything together!" I hissed.
"Man. Okay, she caught us. But who's to say she'll know our plan?" Heinz asked. "Who's to say she'll find out anything? I'll gain her trust again. I'll fix my mistake." Heinz responded. "I hope you're right Heinz. We need her. I need her. It's a good thing I still have her trust. Now fix up, we've got a journey to go on!" I dictated and left his room.

I dressed myself quickly and made my way to the kitchen where everybody was. Mark had a frown on his face. We were totally out of food. "Morning Dakota." Bella giggled, making her way towards me, giving off that smile again. God, I want to wipe it off, but I'm afraid her makeup would smudge revealing Freddy Kruger at his worst. "Okay. Grab a weapon guys!" Stephanie ordered as all the members, including Jason grabbed their equipment. Knives, blades and guns were taken off the rack. I'm still not used to the fact that I would need a machine gun to walk down my road. So I stood there, like a lost puppy.
