for those of you that have never seen or heard of this movie, it's called Full Metal Jacket.
i've seen this movie four times now. i have a problem. but it's one of my favorite military/war films so, like, it's sort of okay. either way, i have a problem with it.
i'm able to quote multiple lines from characters, the cadences for marches and about half of the rifle prayer from memory.
so, uh, yeah...massive problem. someone help me.
i might watch it far too many times, but i digress...because it's a favorite of mine.
i'm just so addicted to it. no one judge me, please; but if you'd like to judge me for it, it's fine.
if you haven't checked out this film, you should; just a suggestion, of course.
regardless of my stupid ranting, i'm an addict to this movie.
like, i'm just an addict that the other day—when i noticed a license plate ending in 768, i told my dad, "look at the license plate."
he asked, "what about it?"
i replied, "768. change the 8 to a 2."
he said, "huh?"
i groaned and said, "768. change the 8 to a 2. 762...full metal jacket."
[ i only said that "762...full metal jacket" thing because—for those of you that don't know—762 is the code name for a full metal jacket. in actuality, a full metal jacket a 762 milliliter bullet. ]
