Timeless. . .i'll miss you forever. this show taught me so much about history; like, so much. i learned about what became of Ernest Hemingway and Al Capone; what happened when the first women's march occurred, when women were being accused (or hung due to accusations) of witchcraft in Salem, what happened to the family of John F. Kennedy ("the Kennedy curse") and so much more. for anyone who hasn't seen the show yet, what are you doing? you should watch it. if you're a history buff or a person who likes learning about history; you'll love it. but Timeless doesn't just involve history. in the series, each episode is centered around an important time or event in history but there are also aspects of romance twisted within it as well. oh, and there's even an entire episode showcasing the LGBT community and coming out so there's that. the show hasn't just taught me about history (things that i hadn't known about before) but it also gave me two pairs of couples that i adore with my heart.
for those of you who've never heard about the show before (and are maybe just hearing about it now), here's what it's about (the description given by Google): "When a group with nefarious intentions attempts to change the world as we know it by altering the past, Lucy, a historian, Wyatt, a soldier, and Rufus, a scientist, unite to save history. Their riveting adventures take them to some of the most thrilling, volatile and critical events on record, including a venture to the Old West, a sojourn to the Alamo, a visit to the famous Chicago World's Fair and a crusade into Nazi Germany. Along the way, they cross paths with famous historical icons, such as Josephine Baker, Harry Houdini, Ernest Hemingway, and infamous rivals Elliot Ness and Al Capone. But every step the team takes to protect history puts everything we know at risk — because changing one thing changes everything."
i love this show so fucking much and i'll miss it forever, but i might buy seasons 1 and 2 on Amazon after season 2 is put up online for people to buy.
if anyone's wondering, the last two episodes of the series are somewhat Christmas-y so expect to see things screaming, Christmas!" because that'll be shown--just not too much. this is a show that showcases events in history after all.
all in all. . .i love this show, the storyline in every episode, the characters (and their characteristics, flaws, quirks, and dynamics). i love everything about this show. au revoir, Timeless. you will be missed.
