We weave in and out of people on the busy streets of downtown New York. Six, Ella, and I figured that if anyone is to go anywhere in this city to hide, it's downtown. We catch glimpses of people rebuilding structures on both sides of the road that were destroyed from the war. Ella sighs next to me.
"Six this is hopeless. There are too many people." Six shakes her head in determination.
"No. We need to find him. We need to know why he was sent to follow Daniela." I stay quiet, listening to their conversation.
"Can we at least take a break? We've been running around for an hour." Ella asks out of desperation. Six stops walking and sighs.
"Okay. But just for a minute. Let's go find a less crowded area." We find a small area in Times Square where many people aren't around, so we take a break there. We talk about how we're going to find the man when I decide to let my instincts take over. I glance around, looking for anything out of the ordinary when I make eye contact with a man. He's tall, and wearing a long trench coat, and he's awfully pale, and... oh my gosh! I gasp so loud I fear all of New York can hear me. Ella and Six both whip around, looking at me in surprise.

"My God, Marina! What?!" I feel the cold radiating off my hands, my whole body as a matter of fact, but I grab Six and Ella's hand anyways and start sprinting.  They don't resist but I can tell they're going to pepper me with questions when we slow down. I know we won't be running very far, but I want to get out of sight of the mogadorian who somehow showed up in New York City. I drag them around the corner and press my back up against the nearest building.

"What?" Ella says in her normal voice but I shush her and poke my head around the corner, my eyes automatically glued to the tall, looming mogadorian. I move back to normal and turn towards Six and Ella.

"You're going to think I'm crazy."

"Well, considering what our lives are, I think that's pretty far stretched." Six says. Though, I know she will be.

"I saw a mogadorian." Six and Ella's mouths instantly gape open in astonishment and I slightly cringe at my words. It's been so long since I've said that phrase.

       "But.. t-that's impossible." Six stutters.

"Yeah. They're in a mog camp that is impenetrable and impossible to get out of." Ella says. I shrug.

"Apparently not, because I just saw one. Right over there." I, yet again, poke my head out around the corner and point out the grotesque mog standing in Times Square. Ella and Six follow my gaze and both gasp. We all spin back around the corner, out of sight from the mog. We all start talking at the same time.

        "How did it get out?"

       "Are there more of them?"

       "Why are they here?"

       "Did they follow us?"

"Are they still hunting us even though Setrakus Ra is dead?"

We all stop talking at once until Six says.

"We shouldn't have split up. We're at too much of a risk when we're apart. Now that we know at least one mog is out in civilization, that's a threat. We need to contact John. Now." Ella nods but I reply with a question.

"What about the man stalking Daniela?" Six shakes her head in disapproval.

"That's not important right now." I nod and turn to Ella.

"Can you contact John telepathically?" Ella smiles brightly. I love how even though we just found out the mogs have escaped, she's still the happy, smiley girl with a bright attitude.

"Of course I can. But I need to go to a place where it's quiet so I can focus."

                                                                          <><><>

Ella leads us to Carnegie Hall. A famous music venue in Midtown Manhattan. Not much is happening inside, so we settle down in one of the waiting areas and let Ella work her magic. She sits in one of the chairs with her legs crossed and her eyes closed. Six and I stand above her, waiting on her to say something. Ella's face occasionally twitches and I try to keep track on how many times and how noticeable it is. Two minutes from last twitch, the side of her mouth moving up. One minute from last twitch, her eyes squinting. I continue to keep track until Ella opens her eyes and takes a deep breath.

"Well?" Six asks anxiously. Ella shakes her head.

"Something is interfering with the connection. It's like he's not thinking straight, or someone else is in his head. I can't tell." My face crunches up in worry.

"Can you keep trying?" She nods her head and closes her eyes again. I sigh. Partly because I'm tired, partly because I'm stressed that the mogs are back. I just want to lay in a bed, in Eight's arms, with him reassuring me that everything will be okay. Almost as if on cue, Ella gasps and her eyes shoot open, making her almost fall out of the chair. Six immediately bends down to steady her.

"What? What'd you see?" Ella is breathing heavily as if she's just finished running. She switches her gaze between Six and I and I can tell she is panicked but also confused.

       "I- I think I just saw... One."
