I know you're sad
I see your hopeless eyes
Come to me baby
I'll thaw that ice
I know you're hurt
The shattered pieces of your heart lay around
I'll be there for you baby
I'll keep you safe and sound
I know that look, I know you're scared
The dark nights have swallowed the sun
Run to me baby
I'll be your only one
I see you cower
I'll wipe away those tears
I'll hug you baby
And vanish all your fears

Everyone who said you'd never be alone
Walked right away
But trust me baby
I'll be the one to stay
You might push me away
You might not want me around
But keep me baby
I'll be the one to straighten your crown
You've locked me out again
And closed the curtains to the light
But how do you feel now?
With no one in sight?
Does the darkness scare you?
Do the voices haunt you?
Or are you finally better now,
Painting yourself another hue?
I look through the curtains
I know you're not alright
Just be a little strong baby
I'll be your light
Don't shut me out
Or hate on me
You know you can't do anything
But accept me the way I seem to be

You can turn away
Or walk a mile
But I'll always be there
Wanting to see you smile
I've loved you all along
How could you be this blind?
Stop being so hard baby
Just be a little kind
I've seen the flaws you despise
The scars you try to hide
I've been with you on those still night
And even when the sky cried
You've told me I'm not enough
And screamed at me, hurt me
But you know this already
I'm not going to leave
You could be so great
If you stopped trying to fit in
If you could just accept me
For the way I've always been
You were born different
Live to be different too
Then why are you desperately trying
To reshape the way you grew?

If you love me
I'll love you back harder
If you trust me
I'll be your warmth and ardor
There's no point in being blind
Or trying to flee
You know those attempts are in vain
You know you're only me.
