What it's like to be a reader and myself
I'm observant,
It's knowing what will happen in
Books and movies in the end after
Five minutes. There are
Expectations to be met:
A's and B's, work
Harder if you get a C.
Society wants
Me to listen and
Agree.
Wanting to raise your hand to
Answer a question.
Responding with one instead. To show you don't
Know it all. Not
Enjoying rap music. Not
Wearing brand clothes.
Frankly, not
Caring either. But still having to
Explain why you bought your boots from
Costco instead of
Hollister.
Appreciative when you do get a brand
Knowing you'd be just as
Fine and
Content with a generic one. There's only one
Me yet i'm
Plain as plain can be.
Considered a
Pessimist knowing i'm just a
Realist. I know the truth and I don't think of what's
Not, or what could be, I think of what
Is.
Pondering the questions of
Life, discussing them with your
Mind, knowing there will be no
Answer. And hating, yet loving something outside of the
Plan, the
Thrill of life without a smooth course.
Noticing all the small
Intricacies
Carved in your plan.
Without your
Knowledge.
