Gone

A/N: I changed the description a little. This message is for those who read this!  Also, a slight trigger warning.

I'm still standing in the spot is was, when I started to break down. I have to run, but where am I going to go? Everywhere is a distant memory suddenly. I feel as if my world came crashing down as I stare at Sousuke. He looks so casual. Nothing is shown in his eyes as he looks at me with anger.

Suddenly, he stands and I get afraid. I don't know what he will do. I flinch backwards and almost trip. Rin is staring at me with consent and concern.

"Mei? What's wrong?", Rin asks while looking back at Sousuke. "Do you know Sousuke, Mei?", he asks. Sousuke gets closer and closer until he in in front if me. He is looking down at me, with, what seems to be, worried eyes? No no... It's my imagination...

"Mei? How is your shoulder?", he asks. My eyes widened. I turn around and run. I don't look back. He... He doesn't care... He... He just wanted to expose that in front of Rin... I know it.

I ran for almost 30 minutes... I reach a bridge with water tunneling under it. There is a little land directly under it so, I decide to crawl under it and hug my knees. I will stay here forever if that was what it meant for Sousuke to stay away from me... I slowly take out my cell phone, and text the person who takes my emotions seriously and would do anything to help me.

[I'm so afraid of him... I'm so scared right now.... Nothing can help me... No one can help me... I have been like this since in all happened. I am depressed. Even though I haven't saw him in that long time, now, seeing him, makes me feel like, I will get hurt again... I can't go back... I don't even know where I am. I ran and ran. But now, I can't find my way home... Please help me....]

After I sent it, I somehow get a text from Sousuke... Rin... Must have told him my number...

[Mei. Please call me]

I ignore it and get another one 30 minutes later.

[Please call me Mei.]

Ignore.

[Mei. Where did you go? I can't find you anywhere in Iwatobi.]

Ignore.

Then Osumu finally texts me back.

[I'm coming to get you. Forgive me for not being there... I was caught up in a meeting at work. Do you understand what time it is Mei? It's 1 in the morning... I will try to find you, but if I can't... I will be lost...]

I'm shivering to the point to where I can't even move my fingers. When I lay on the cold ground, my shoulder gets caught up in knots and I scream in pain. It echo's through the air with a sickening shout. Someone stops their car and examines where it came from. I can clearly see them.

However, the person spots me, and forcefully grabs me. He drags me on the ground, leaving scrapes and gashes all over me. I don't know what is happening... I can't even tell who this person is... I want to say it was Sousuke, but he is too short for it to be him...

With my fingers shaking, I quickly dial any speed dial number I had. Whether it had been Rin or Osumu, I can't hear anything else after that. I'm shoved into a car and the person speeds away. The car is even colder than outside... My phone has reached someone because I hear a slight yell saying, "Mei!!" But my phone dies shortly after the second word is shouted.

Is this.... kidnapping?

When I wake up, I'm in a car again... But I have a blanket covered over me, and I see flashing lights outside. A police car? I'm so dazed and confused... I can barely even move. I can't feel a thing. And my head hurts to a point where I want to explode... It really hurts...

All I can hear is the two men in the front seat, talking about something.

"At least we got that guy..."

"Yeah. She might have been dead if we didn't find her in time. The hospital is the first priority. We couldn't reach any places from calling from that place. It was lucky we were driving by. We wouldn't have heard her screams."

Screams?

"What would he want with her? I wonder if he knew her in anyway."

"I doubt it. She was passed out when we got there and that guy was so close to killing her. No resemblance what so ever."

"Ah... I guess so. Anyway, did you charge that phone?"

"It's almost done but I think we can get some calls done."

I see the man holding my phone. He looks through my contacts and dials a number whole putting it on speakerphone.

"Mei!!!! Where are you?! I'm worried sick about you!" It's Osumu...

"I'm sorry sir this is not her."

"Who are you and why do you have my sisters phone?!"

"Calm down sir. We just have some information about her that's all."

"What...?"

"We found her in a concrete house, screaming for her life. Once we got there, we captured the man who kidnapped her, and now she is sleeping in the back of my car. We are taking her to the hospital right away."

"But... How... W- what did that guy do?!"

"It looks like he was just hurting her. We found bruises on her arms, face and legs. We found a video camera in the house, and the guy recorded the whole thing. All 5 days worth. We found many beer bottles and cracked ones as well. He was really drunk so, he must have beat her for fun..."

"....What was this guys name...."

"Nanami Hijikata."

"Where are you taking her...?"

"Iwatobi Hospital. It's the closest one."

"..." Beep beep beep.

"He hung up... I'm sure he is worried sick about his sister."

"Yeah."

I gaze slightly out the window. Daylight... My head rings. My ears rings. My body suddenly gains pain. A pain, that is unbearable... I can't say or do anything. I can't move either. No one will know how much pain I'm in... I feel sick... I can barely keep my eyes open but I manage to fall into some type of trance. I can hear and see everything, just not move.

The next thing I realize is myself being lifted onto some type of soft bed like thing and rolled into a building.

I hear people say, "Stay with us!"

"Don't give out yet!"

"Be strong for us!"

I'm not sire why they are yelling so much. I'm in pain yes, but what happened to me? I don't know any of these people.

I see Makoto, Rin, Osumu, and Haruka. But all the others are a blur to me.

Everyone is a blur. Do I know these other people?

But I do see someone... Someone who makes my heart jump. Sousuke! I instantly get afraid but I can't move. My breathing gets heavier and I start to fade out... The next thing and last thing I hear is,

"Forgive me... Mei..."
