~Chapter Six~

"Kaki! Wook at what I painted in Art class today! It's Ariel in the sea with all the fish!" The little kindergartener beamed running inside Camila's room.

"Ah I see! That's so beautiful Sofi!" Camila complimented her.

Camila knows it's not the best work since she didn't really paint inside the lines but she ignores her brain for thinking of such bad negativity.

"I want to be an artist when I grow up so I can paint all day long!"

Camila chuckles are her sister's enthusiasm "Yeah you could do that but I'm just reminding you that your 5 years old so you still have alot of time to be anything you want." Camila informed the little girl.

"Really!?" Sofi jumped up in down "So that means I can be a princess?! Yay I can be a prince-"

"Um no Sofi I meant like any actual occupation..." Camila trails off when she sees her sister's facial expression become sad almost on the verge of crying.

She kneeled down to her sister's height "You know what you can be art princess who does art okay?"

"Okay" Sofi said smiling, wrapping her arms around Camila's neck.

"Sofia and Karla! It's time to eat!" Camila's mother yelled from downstairs.

Camila and Sofi both looked at each other for a split second.

"Race you there!" They both said at the same time now taking off.

Sofi ran down the hallway of their big house reaching the stairs

And Camila trips on one of Sofi's toys in the hallway while Sofi impressively dodges it already almost at the bottom of the stairs.

"And Sofi Cabello wins!" Sofi shouted jumping up and down as if she just won and actual Olympics race.

"No fair! Your dumb barbie toy car was in the way! I bet you put that there on purpose!" Camila playfully pouted tickling Sofi.

"Kaki s- top!" Sofi squeals between laughing.

"Okay okay girls it's time to eat." Sinu said setting the last plate on the dining table.

"Where's Papi?" Sofi asked her mother.

"He um won't be here for dinner today he's busy" Sinu hesitantly explained.

"B- but he's always busy" Sofi pouted.

Camila knew the real reason why he was gone. Her father did illegal acts that got him in jail. Sinu had been lying to Sofi for 4 months ever since mid May.

Camila didn't really care since he did belong there but that didn't mean she didn't want the father daughter things some children got to experience. She's scared that Sofi may have to go through the same thing of not doing the activities too.

"Mami I miss him so much" Sofi mumbled with her lip quivering as a tear drop escaped from her eye.

"C'mere Sofi" Camila picked up her sister rubbing circles on her back and put her in her booster chair since she could reach the table just yet.

They ate dinner mostly in silence other than Sofi making airplanes noises while feeding herself meatballs from her spaghetti meal and her talking about her day at school.

After Camila was done helping Sofi with her spelling homework and when they finished doing fun karaoke songs Sinu wanted to talk to Camila about something.

"Karla could you please takes Sofi to bed and read her a bedtime story? Make sure she brushes her teeth and takes a bath before." Sinu pleaded. "After that please come down because I need to talk to you" She finished.
