Emily's brown eyes fluttered open, and they immediately darted around the room like a bullet. She sat up and tried to stand herself up with the balance of her hands, but they were tied together with some sort of rope.

She was still wearing the crimson dress, however dusty it was. Her brown hair was tangled, and her eyes were bloodshot, with tear stained skin.

Emily couldn't remember what had happened last night, but the main events replayed in her mind like a tape.

"Caspian!" Emily had yelled, pain straining her voice as she collided with the ground. Emily reached for the horn in her satchel and tossed it over, with her best aim.

Luckily, the prince had caught the horn, and sent her a sympathetic look. "Emily. I'm not leaving you. You're my baby sister." Caspian told her, his voice strained.

Guards were running, almost reaching the siblings.

"I can handle myself. Now go!"

Caspian figured that she wasn't about to let him stay, so he rode off as fast as his horse could take him, his figure engulfed in the shadows of the forest.

The memories started flooding back into her head, as Emily searched for something sharp. She needed to cut these damn ropes.

"You stuck here too?" Came a voice of which Emily didn't recognize.

"Who's there?" Emily asked, trying to put on a brave facade, but her voice was shaking and her upper lip trembled. Emily didn't want to admit, but the princess was afraid.

Her brown eyes caught a sight, and she took a closer look. It was a dwarf, with long blonde matted hair with an equally long and tangled beard. His face was covered in cuts, some of which were still bleeding, and he had a dark look plastered on his face.

Emily felt like her heart was in her mouth, as a creature from the fairy tales her professor taught her stood right before her eyes.

"You're a Narnian..." Emily choked, her voice strained and hoarse.

"That's right," he sneered, eyeing Emily closely. "Your Majesty." The dwarf added, eyeing her dress and the tiara Emily didn't even realize was on her head.

Emily rolled her eyes, and took off the tiara. Emily took it in one hand, and placed it in the satchel she still had around her shoulder. Sure, there was only a few matches and a few apples in there, but Emily felt safer carrying it around.

She heard the jittering of keys, and the loud thumps of heavy footsteps entering the dungeons. Emily (with the help of the dwarf, who's name was Trumpkin) got to her feet, and found herself nose to nose with a guard. Her brown eyes were filled with hate, as she gave her very best death stare.

"Ready to go?" He asked, and Emily stepped back, confusion taking over her body.

"Go where?" Emily asked, raising an eyebrow but her hate and detest in her chocolate brown eyes never faded.

"For a swim." The guard cackled, and Emily gasped. She knew what he meant by 'for a swim', and personally, Emily didn't really want to drown. But saying that, no one wants to drown.

"I swear to Aslan I'll —"

But the young princess was cut off by a cackle they made her eyes vibrate unpleasantly.

"Aslan? You believe those fairy tales!"

Emily glared, as she felt a white hot lump of anger expand in her chest. The guard tied a piece of cloth around her mouth, to restrict her from speaking, and led her and Trumpkin outside.

Two guards pushed her forcefully into the wooden boat, back first, as Trumpkin was launched on top of her.

Luck dwarf, Emily thought, as she felt a splinter of wood stab her upper arm. Emily winced in pain, before sitting up.

The two soldiers rowed the boat across the ocean, and Emily felt weaker by the second.

They reached the center, and a man grabbed Emily by the scruff of her neck.

"Here we are," the man snarled.

"Drop her!"
