Chapter 5: The Interrogation

*Is now back in Splatoon 2*

Tenkakeel Outpost

Agent 3 then snapped back to reality "Oh, shiokara."

"What is it 3? You remembered something?" Eight exclaimed

"His hair grew a bit longer." She said with a shocked face

"Is that all that you remember!?" Eight said with a shocked and angered look

"Calm down, I met him before, I'm just surprised by the fact that we knew each other before."

"Does that mean you guys were...dating?" Eight said with a lost expression

"What no! We just fought each other before that's all."

Eight then sighs in relief "Oh thank cod."

Agent 2 pitched in, "Hey, the octoling you guys are looking at, doesn't his last name ring any bells?"

"Yes is does but, I can't remember how though." Eight said as he was trying to remember

Agent 3 got up and grabbed the file document of Orion "You don't mind if we borrow this right?"

"Not at all" said Captain Cuttlefish as he was eating his secret stash of Crabby Cakes

The octoling and inkling then waved goodbye and left Tenkakeel Outpost

Inkopolis Square Apartments

As Eight and Sam open the door they find Shelley and Orion doing something together

"How the fish did you beat me!?" Skye said in shock

"I got used to the controls." Orion said smiling

"You're just better than me!" Skye said complaining

"Don't say that!" Orion said in shock "In my opinion, I think you are very cool and adorable!"

Skye then blushed a little "W-What was that last part?"

Orion then realized what he said and blushed in embarrassment "I-I meant cool and a-awesome! Sorry my Inklish is very rusty." He then laughed sheepishly

"Oh, that's right, you're still getting used to living here."

Sam cleared her throat, causing her to break the silence between them

Orion turned around "Oh hey, welcome back."

"We need to talk." Said Sam in a tense tone

They took Orion to the kitchen

"Eat these!" Eight said with extra mem cakes that CQ gave him

"I can't eat those! You need to eat them for your memories!" Orion said as he tried giving the mem cakes back

"Take them! I have more of them!" Eight said as he shoved a mem cake in Orion's mouth

He ate the octoling soldier mem cake, and tried to remember "........................."

~flashback~

Orion POV
After Octavio was defeated I remembered the song from the the 2 squid girls that they were singing during the fight, I couldn't get it out of my head. It helped me realize that their is more to life than staying underground, I sighed

"Ah! Hey!"

I turned my head and see a octoling with a short tentacle on the left side of her and another short on that was a bit longer than the other as her hairstyle, I replied back "Hey. So you're free too huh?"

She smiled "Yup! I can see that you are as well!"

I nodded "You are?"

"Huh?"

I then asked again "Your name, what is it?"

"Oh! I'm Ahato Mizuta, and your name is?"

"I'm %$# Zuta, it's very nice to meet you Ahato."

A couple of time has passed, we were just talking about the fight that Octavio and Agent 3 were having, and how the Calamari Inkantation helped free our minds

"Hey, when we get up there to the surface, what are you going to do?"

I thought for a moment "Well the games that they have seems fun, and they have such a large variety of guns and rollers! That long gun seems much more interesting though!" I said with delight

"You must really like weapons huh?" She said a little scared

I looked at Ahato "Nah not really." I said as I lean against the fence "What are you going to do up there?"

"I'm going to become a Famous DJ!" She said with determination

"Huh, that's a really big risk that you're taking, but I like your determination though. It suits you."

I got up "Welp, we should get going if we want to achieve our dreams right?"

Ahato nodded her head "Right!"

I waved goodbye to Ahato "See you on the surface! Okay?"

As we parted ways, I found something strange

"Is that...cyan ink?" I bent down and examined it

I felt something hit my head, I fell unconscious after that

~present~

Third-person POV
Orion snapped back to reality "A...Ahato."

"What?" Sam said confused

"My friend Ahato! We were supposed to see each other again once we get to Inkopolis! I guess I forgot about her."

"Where is she now?" Eight said curiously

"She's probably becoming a Famous DJ like she dreamed about! I hope she made it come true."

Sam and Eight interrogated him some more

Some minutes has passed and Orion was being his usual self

"Now that you're done wanna play some games with me?" Skye said holding a controller to Orion

"Sure!" Orion said as he grabbed the controller

Sam and Eight left the 2 to play some games together
