Chapter Twenty

Sonic Pov

Me and Shadow just arrived to the airport,we were given our passes and went on the plane.All I could think about was that I left my friends with out given the chance,to say goodbye...I sighed as I sat down with Shadow on left side of the plane.We were three rows close to the back but I didn't mind,I thought to myself as I sat next to the widow looking outside.I watched as we buckled up and took off...Where we were going?i had no idea..Because for our safety.I sighed as looked over back at Shadow to see him reading a book,he still reads.He soon noticed I was looking at him..his beautiful red eyes,it felt like his eyes were sinking into mine.I froze when I realized I was staring and quickly turned my head.

Sonic: *mind* Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!

An three hours later

Sonic!

Sonic!

I wake up to the sound of Shadow's voice,my eyes soon clearing up.I blinked my eyes as I looked up to see Shadow holding his bag and mine,I was still tired but didn't want him to carry my stuff...so I got out of the chair and tried to grab the bag but.He didn't let me,instead he gave me a smile and said.

Shadow: It's ok Sonic I got it

Sonic: But- I can carry it myself

Shadow: I know,Don't worry about it I got it

Sonic: Oh ok?

I let Shadow carry my bag to the taxi as he put our stuff in the trunk.I sat down in the car and got my set belt on,Shadow got in and did the same.Sense this was a taxi driver sent from the police,he already knew where we were going.We sat in the car silent as we drove through this cute but small town,I saw a sign we went under say,Welcome to Middle Woods.I gasped as I realized where we were,this is not to far from where I went to going camping with my family.But at the same time I'm still far from home..

Amy Pov

Amy: Heard the news..are Sonic and Shadow ok?

Tails: Yea..

Manic: ...

Tails: I heard that Sonic and Shadow were sent away until the police find that gang and Sally..

Amy: Oh, I see..

I looked over to see Manic go out the back door.i can't even imagine what Manic is thinking right now..

Rouge: We all miss them..and we're not happy with the problem we have right now..but

Sonia: ...

Rouge: We can't really do anything so all we can really do is wait..

Sonia: Yea..

Knuckles: I hate this..

Tails: ...

Amy: Guys,I'll be back ok..?

They all nobbed as I went out the back door to see Manic setting at the end of the porch,I walked over and sat down next to him.I could tell he didn't feel like talking,he just looked at the sky not saying a word..I can't sit here and say nothing,I have to speak up..

Amy: Manic..?

Manic: Yea..?

He said still not facing me.

Amy: Are you ok..?

Manic: Oh yea I'm great!

He said as he looked at me and I could see anger and sadness in his eyes.

Manic: My girlfriend only dated me so she could cover her tracks,just so she could get away with the horrible things she was doing!

Manic: Just because she wanted Sonic to herself,my brother..!

Manic: I-I thought she actually loved me...

Amy: Manic..

Manic: And here I am still upset losing her when I should be more upset that she tried to kill our friends...I'm-I'm such a horrible friend..

Amy: Manic that's not true..

Manic: Yes it is!

Amy: ...

Manic: I should hate her!

Manic: Just like all of you but....I don't and I hate myself for that..

I got up and started walking to the door.But I grabbed his arm and looked up at him..his eyes were full of tears,I grabbed him and hugged him tight.

Amy: Don't act like any of this is your fault..

Amy: Don't ever think your a bad friend Manic..

Amy: You care about us don't you?!

Manic: Yes..

He answered as tears left his eyes and he hugged back.
